  1. I just primed my body for this kit. It is truly a beautiful kit and this build is beautiful too. I can't wait to finish mine!
  2. Is there any way you could shave some of the circumference off the rear slicks to make them look a tad bit more accurate? Right now they look like they are a hair too tall and throw off the front wheels with the size. That's just my thought though. Looks great everywhere else! Keep it up! Pete
  3. Reminds me of this s15 at last local drift event last weekend. I love your build! Can't wait til I get my 180sx and build it to go with my rx7 haha
  4. As promised, pics! Haha
  5. Personally I like the bigger slick but then again it is too big scale wise. The kit tire just seems tiny IMO
  6. Man I really wish you didn't sell this. Didn't seem to need much more besides paint and exterior stuff. Sucks but hey atleast someone will finish it. Good luck with your recovery and hope to see you back in the pro mod builds some day soon! Pete
  7. Pretty much going box stock with this one. It's the Lindberg kit. I coulda sworn I took progress pics but I guess not. I'll snap some pics in the morning. For now this is the best I have of the chassis. It's in the back ground of my pro mod vette cage. Sorry guys!
  8. That's amazing! Where did you get your rear tires from? I'm building a drag radial mustang and don't have anything close to what I need haha
  9. I always atleast unwrap mine in the parking lot after I buy them to do a quick once over of everything. But man thag sucks. Good thing its not on a big body line so it should be a fairly easy repair. Good luck
  10. Looks beautiful. I like the black wheels best. I feel like the roof is a tad too tall for this. If you would feel up to cutting it maybe try a 3 scale inch chop and leave the cut exposed like on a real rat rod.
  11. Hey guys, here's a much needed update. I managed to cut up the rear end out of the pro sportsman 55 Chevy and make it functional. I also made wheelie bars, added chute lines, and robbed the Chitown Hustler of the beadlock rims. I have a time correct set to put on it haha. This is exactly how she sits right now, still tacked in place with white glue. Please leave some feedback.
  12. Haven't really had much motivation to build lately but tons of motivation to paint...probably from my auto body class...so I said u would just make motor plates and figure out the rest later and got to spraying the chassis. I like it, not my best work but that's ok because it will get detailed nicely(hopefully). I also started on a rear end. Took the one from the pro sportsman belair kit and chopped off the axles and drilled 2 holes in the sides to fit a axle tube and I stole the rims from the Chi-Town hustler along with the axle and I love the fitment/look. Enough words...some pics. Sorry none of the rear end as I forgot to take some earlier
  13. I got everything but the body done in about 6 hours one night. It's not that hard to build for the amount of details it has. I'm impressed with this kit. Keep it up!
  14. I know them personally. They are great guys and they always strive to get the best coverage! I'm surely watching.
  15. All I have that are staggered wheel setup is the stock dodge viper acr wheels and the stock corvette zr1 wheels, I'm not sure if you would be interested in either of those but if you are I am still interested in the 6 spoke(te37) wheels
  16. Would have been super cool with a reverse rake and some Dayton wire wheels! But it is still a beautiful build! Pete
  17. I think it's neat. I like how you used your dad's Vega as a reference. I used to do that with my dad's Super Gas Camaro. I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on this Pete
  18. If you were to build this same thing but as a body/frame dragging one that would be a sick combo! Having a practical one with a show one to go with it haha. I love this so far, I wish I could save my 34 ford and do this to it. Pete
  19. Revell actually made a 55 passer kit that doesn't have the stuff molded in. I built it but got tired of it half way through so I just glued it together haha.
  20. Yea I know that. I have the Jungle Jim built and I'm about to start the Navy Mongoose car that's why I asked.
  21. This chassis looks exactly like the one I used on my Jungle Jim car, is it the same one because if it is I'm just gonna finish my body for the Mongoose car and swap bodies every so often til I finish the chassis
  22. Do you plan on using those TE37s? If not would u be willing to trade? I have a kit in mind that I wanna use them on if you are willing to trade.
  23. Looks great! The only thing I can see that can maybe make it cleaner is to clean up the extra silver on the floor pan from when you painted the exhaust. Other than that it's beautiful!
