  1. Thanks! I'm a Ford guy at heart as well but I like all cars if they're interesting.
  2. That is just plain cool! Well done

Cool concept to build a deuce. Very well done!
  5. Great work! I like it better the way you built it.
  6. Hi! Here are some pictures of my full detail build of the MPC '70 Cyclone. I started with an excellent unbuilt orginal and cut it all apart to make what you see here. I'm not much of a collector and buy all my kits to build so hopefully I'm not offending anybody. I used the Pro Modeler '70 Torino for the chassis, engine, firewall, dash and console. I modified the Torino dash to a Cyclones by adding the extra gauges and correcting the speedo. The front buckets were cut apart and hinged. The doors and trunk were opened and I also added the rare vinyl roof because I was afraid of running out of the Testor's Grabber Orange. (can't buy it up here anymore because of our stupid government regs). The chassis and engine were also plumbed and the decals are from Keith Marks. Thanks for looking!
  7. Yes indeed that's the car! Thanks for digging out the photo.
  8. WOW! Terrific build of a very cool car.

  11. Very well done! Clean work. Very well done! Clean work.
  12. Terrific paint and foil work! An excellent example of how to build a old school kit.
  13. Hi The forum went down shortly after my posting of this model so I apologize to those that have already seen it. I don't even know how many of you if any viewed it. I took an AMT '55 Cameo and slapped a '57 Cameo bed on it. The front clip and engine are from the AMT '67 Impala and the engine features a scrtachbuilt intake and the pulley system from a C5 corvette. The engine bay is smoothed. Rolling stock is from a Maisto diecast Chevy SSR. The dash, console and seats are from the same C5 Corvette kit and I designed and scratchbuilt my own door panels. The exhaust outlets are No. 8 Rivnuts I picked up at a hardware store. The custom exhaust is made by heating/bending styrene rod. I made my own 4 bar linkage for the hood and the color is HOK Persimmon Pearl over Italian Red. Thanks for looking (again)
  14. In my short time I've been on the forum I posted a Ford and a Mopar so now it's time for a General Motors product. This is my '55 Chevy Cameo with a '57 box added. I love the egg crate grille on the '55 but prefer the chrome on the bed of the '57. I ised the front clip and engine block from the AMT '67 Impala and some rear end links from the Phantom Vicky kit. The Chevy SSR wheels and tires are froma Maisto die cast. I designed my own interior door panels and carved them from sheet styrene. The dash, console and seats are from a C5 Corvette and modified to fit. I also scratchbuilt the intake and adapted the serpentine pulleys from the Corvette to the 427 engine. The color is house of Kolor persimmon pearl over a Italian red basecoat with a custom mixed butterscothch interior. The grille was sanded from the backside to open it up and I also designed a 4 bar linkage for the hood. Thanks for looking!
  15. I really love where this is going. I built mine stock but I might have to borrow your ideas and get another kit!
  16. I did but only had time to look around Sunday and most of the cars were gone.
  17. I'm liking this one a lot. Keep up the great work!
  18. I won't be at GSL this year. Thanks for the nice comment!
  19. Very clean work and beautiful paint!
  20. Very nice build and photos!
  21. That is a true work of art! I appreciate all the fantastic detailing. 1
  22. The build was based off a Minnesota car featured in Car Craft magazine a few years back that had dog dish caps. I thought it looked pretty cool.
