White Freightliner COE Photoetch?
Pavel A. replied to Gray Smith's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Hi. I' ve also this PE parts. It is awesome. But I bought it direct from CTM. I can tell that the souls of this company are Karel (specialist for U.S. trucks) and Jan (specialist for Euro Trucks). I used PE from them on my GMC Astro 95 (conversion of chevy titan). You can see it in gallery. I'll planned also GMC but with big grille, this is also from them. I've also White freightliner parts, W900 parts, Lonestar parts, such as accesories parts. New are PE parts for Iveco Stralis (maybe the best work from guys) and of course new Prostar. Such as preparing of some new parts for W900.... -

Hi all.... This is my firt model in model cars section, because I specialized for big rigs... It is world famous Ecto 1A - the car of Ghostbusters. This reedition is quite good - pass together very well. Some details are after my ideas. Antenas are made from guitar string 0,36mm. Weathering I made only with Tamiya Weathering Set (oil stain) and Tamiya Panel line color. PE parts are only windshield wipes (Model Car Garage). Interior is also after my ideas. Car Windows dimming is made by original Car window Foil. Paul.

Hi boys, My name is Paul, I´m 36 years old. I live in town Nitra in Slovakia (middle of Europe). I´m interesting in models from my 20. I´m very big fan of U.S., Canada and Australian truck. Love all this KW´s, Pete´s, Internationals, Macks, Old Autocars and more. Unfortunately , in all my life I seen some of this trucks maybe 3 times. Hier in Slovakia we have only European Trucks like Mercedes, Daf, Scania, Man.... I´m also big fan of import cars (Japan, I drive 4 real Honda cars). When I started with making of models, was not here AMT, only kits from Revell and Italleri. Just now are prices of this kits on same level like AMT. Here are some links on my works: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74635 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71114 http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71115

Hi all... So Jimmy is ready. Quite good. By assembling I don´t have some problems. It is conversion from Chevy Titan 90. For this conversion I use PE parts from CTM (http://www.liaznavzdy.cz/nedtrans/ctm.php), such as mask, mirror brackets, logos, steps, windscreen wipers and more.... Hand rails are made from welder wire 5mm strong. Cabin is lowered, than the cold intake is changed for new one. It is my first all weathered truck. Antenna is made from guitar string 0,36mm strong. More in topic:http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71815 Thanx for looking, Paul.

Short update. I used PE parts from CTM: hose clamps on intake and "tear drop plate" on steps plates. As wire is used welding wire, I think 0,6mm it is (maybe 0,8mm). It is with cooper coating. after the sending (sandpaper 800-1000) it is polished like chrome. -

Hello, Some new photos from my project. Followed a work with next PE parts, Concrete "raindrops protectors" on exhauts. It´s mounted together from 3 parts. It is suggest to mount on tube of 4.8mm diameter. Unfortunately i had only 5mm. But it´s in norm, Installation without some bigger problem. After than I airbrushed in blac, as a base colour for alclad chroming. -

Yes truckabilly, you're right. It is possible to "assemble" it without some special tools, but it is more easier with it. And I think this bender from mr.šrám is very good in this price level (about 20 eur). And I'm glad that my first contact with PE is quite positive...It's a very good skill for me. Pavel. -

Hi all, how I promised here are some photos from the work with PE parts from Czech truck model. This is my firts try with PE parts. I feared that this work will be hard for me. I must to talk that it was very nice and not so hard work. The great helper is bender tool for me... Exellent is that man can polish this parts. By the cutting off the parts from planchette is very good to used something hard like the underbase. For example some square of glass or I used smooth ceramic tile... So, if you have some questions..... -
