  1. not planning on doing any milling , mostly just hole placement, if later on if I see actual milling I'll buy a mill
  2. that is outstanding !!!
  3. after a lot of searching I think I am going to skip getting a milling machine and just get a compound cross slide for this bench top drill press I got at a yard sale last week , having looked on the WWW ( that's the World Wide Web ) I see a lot of them , so I guess I am looking for recommendations , I want to keep the cost of the slide to 200 dollars or less ,,, anyone have experience with these , Thanks
  4. Wow !! that's a sharp looking auto !!
  5. it was a rather dumb post huh , took longer to type it than to fill the dimples
  6. wow , very cool sharp auto , and you just cost me 50 dollars
  7. on the chassis there are dimples , , Q is , fill them , or is that a total waste of time and effort
  8. Sir you are so very talented it so amazes me to no end !!
  9. thanks Art , well I have a plan for the stock car , I am going to build a scale garage and put the stock car in it like a good intention project that gets set aside , a diorama , but I will work on it from time to time
  10. thanks Harry ,, now I can order that car , the 67 Grand Prix is special to me , my dad bought that car new in 67 and passed away a few months later , I actually spent a few years trying to track the car down to buy it but I have had no luck , so a model will have to do , just glad I noticed they make it ,, ok done deal , but 6 to 8 weeks , that's not bad I guess !
  11. a work of art , amazing stuff
  12. HOLY COW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is simply amazing what you did ,,,,,,,,,,,, hard to believe,,,,,,, a friend of mine has a mint Fiero GT with 9,500 miles that i can buy and am thinking about it
  13. thanks guys , but that radio is bugging me , maybe it needs a wash , highlighted ,,, if I had a mill I could have spaced the radio knobs and light and wiper switches a lot better , but actually i am pleased with how it came out ,,,,, i ended up using super glue , and super glue on the leather too , the leather i sanded down to around .010 thick , the guitar string that goes around the silver part was heck to bend to shape , that i super glued and flooded it with paint to fill the inside edge and scraped the wire after ,,,, but what i would like to know is , on the photo-etch Corvette badge how do you paint the sting ray name black under it , that eludes me how that is done
  14. ok the dash is done , except i am not crazy about the radio , i messed up the decal for the station numbers and i used a piece of BMF painted black , and i am not crazy about it , that's the only thing i will tweek on the dash and at someother time , i am going to attempt to make a real wood rim steering wheel , anyway here it is , wow i stink at picture taking !!
