Hey guys been absent for a long time but I’m back. Long story short I have a white residue after stripping paint. Will this be ok to prime over or not, if not what should I do? I used the purple stuff first then washed it with detergent, after letting it dry I noticed the residue, as you can see in the pic. So I figured I try simple green and basically the same result. The residue comes off when I scratch it with my fingernail. The black and white parts seem to be ok its just the parts that have the beige color to them. I really need help I’ve been at this for couple of months now, and just want to start building. Any help would be great. Thanks Zee

i agree with all this is one of the best builds I've seen of this car. great job

i used the purple stuff to remove paint from a model that I'm rebuilding, it also softened up the glue joint's. but they where least 8 years old. also some just pop apart with a bit force.

this came out great but i think the tail lights need more angle towards the rear windshields.

you have to do a tutorial on this kind of paint now. you cant tease us and let us figure it out.

Thanks Bill for the big help, and also putting me at ease. Im defiantly going to try METHOD 2. Do you have to take off a little material then add the styrene? and how much gap would you say you need to have the door sit nice and flush once painted finished, or paint dosn't build up that much around the edges?
