Awesome model. I need to get one (or more).

I've managed to get 3 or 4 of the old Revell 1957 Chevy Bel Aires together, the last probably 30 years ago. Never did finish a Nomad so hopefully this time it goes better. I just don't know when that will be. I might start cleaning up parts in between other projects. Just what I need, to start something else! As for not opening the 1969 version, it's taken 45 years to find another mint original and for me it is more of a nostalgia thing and I usually don't buy kits that I do not intend to build.

I found a kit of the first model that I ever remember buying, the Revell 1957 Chevy Nomad, 1969 issue, the one with the photo box art. It is still in its original shrink wrap. It will never be opened. I also found a 1973 issue, open, but complete that I will attempt to build (I forgot how bad these are, too many Tamiya kits I guess!).

I did read it. It was ok. As far as I know the last issue, which they said was the farewell issue, was printed in Feb. 2001. If you have seen Scale Aviation Modeler, it is basically the same format. And yes, it is UK based.

I have two that more than likely will never be built. An original issue 1/8 scale Monogram Big Drag and the Monogram Tom Daniel Mean Maverick.

I have found that unless it's a Corvette promo older than about 1970, you can't give them away. No one seems to want them, even for free!

Lotus 72, 78 and 79.

No. It was going to be the next release in the rod and Custom collection, but it was never released. I was looking forward to that one as well.

Studio 27 Lotus 49 photo-etch for the Ebbro kit and the Joe Honda book on the Lotus 49 for reference.

I remember building two of that version when it first came out (don't ask me why) and I think that this is the first time I've seen one since. Have fun building it.
