Definitely gonna be a pretty little puddle skipper! Thanks for the information on the tires. Looked them up on eBay. They are running 39.99 without rims . Are they 36 inch? -

Bigfoot 10 Monster Truck
REDNECK7109 replied to Dinky's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
The problem is they put alot of parts in such a small box and the roll cage should be at least 6 pieces not 2 . It wouldn't very all jacked up if it was smaller pieces that had to be built up.... your definitely gonna need some putty on the axles to cause mine had huge gaps about the thickness of a dime Sorry for the disappointing news by the way :-\ I really look forward to seeing you doing something great with it -

had no luck with this kit at all. In mine the molds were wrong and the roll cage was kinda "bent" like warped.... here's mine -

I couldn't agree more dude.... there will be will be times where you'll think "if this was real life this wouldn't look right" but just remember it's a model answer it's your imagination when you build a model it's your world -

Man you definitely did a good job especially for a first attempt. If you didn't say it was your first attempt I would've thought you've been others. You did good! ... I know those tires are a pain. The one that came in my kit were so bad I had to do alot of modification to it. I started building models when I was 12 and stopped a couple years later took about a 10 year break and then got into head over heels. Like all these other guys say just keep watching this forum you'll learn alot and whatever your trying to figure out if you can't find it start a topic . I also agree with the Sharpie markers and masking tape. Those are the two things I also have with me when I grab a model. The way best way to learn is just do try it man.... when I was learning how to cut door open and make paint better I went to my local flea market and bought some half started kits and ones that were missing parts and I got them for 2 or 3 dollars. It was perfect so I just played mad professor with that lol. .... theres alot of good tips I could give you I can talk about models all day lol but overall man you did a great job! Two thumbs up. I may not be the best builder on here but If you need help with anything at all just shoot me a PM (message ) . Good luck and God bless -

Diamond Reo
REDNECK7109 replied to Wonderbread Kustomz's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I have a diamond reo still sealed. I plan on getting it out soon. The first time I seen the diamond reo I pictured it metal flake black but I bet any dark metal flake color would look pretty good -

Old buckaroo - that j/d Idea is sick! Wish I would have thought of that lol but I may twist that idea a little for the next 'out of box' Pete project lol Superpeterbilt - Thanks alot dude for the suggestions. The only reason why I put the tank there is cause of how the tank was molded. It already has the straps and step for that position. I've never removed chrome before so I didn't want to mess it up but I definitely like your idea and wish I would've done it. I should have the interior finished tonight and I'll post pictures. Thanks -

Yeah man I chose to scratch build a bed cause an 6 or 8 foot bed is to short. It makes the truck looks squished. So I built a 12 foot bed out of some 60 -

Your welcome dude! . Lol your right now that I made the circle I'm gonna hope to have this one done soon. That 1:1 is Almost spot on! -
his is idea I've been tinkering around with for quite some time... I do a little here and a little there. For some reason I got some motivation to put some hard work into and finish it. When I went to Georgia to hang out with my buddy Earl who is an outstanding model builder I came back with a ton of models and ton of inspiration. Earl gave me as a gift this peterbuilt kit and I said I wanted one so I can try to learn all about scratch building that I can. So I bought a mess of styrene and started cutting and cropping and then this pickup truck idea popped in my head and I started going to town . Out of all the forums I've been on I've only seen one other person try to make a Pete pickup truck and he never finished it so I took a stab. The bed isn't done yet I still have trim and putty work to do. The tail gate isn't finished yet also it's gonna have opening tailgate with pins to keep it shut. I need to get some singles instead of duals. I put duals all way around right now so I can get the pictures. Let me know what y'all think!. Thanks
