  1. I would bet licensing would be difficult, but it would probably sell well.
  2. How about a NW style straight truck a-train tanker combo? That would look pretty cool. I used to see TONS of these on the I-5 around Anacortes.
  3. Yes, I had seen this one the last time you posted it, was very impressed. The U-series Autocar is one of my all-time favorites. Do you have any reference material on the dimensions of the cab?
  4. Nice build. look forward to seeing the decals on.
  5. I dont really care for the look either, but a LOT of guys do, its fairly radical.
  6. I think this is a good idea, as this truck is probably gonna be bought by a LOT of guys who dont regularly build trucks, due to it being the first all-new tooling in a while, the amount of buzz it is generating, and the fact that the subject matter is fairly eye-popping as big trucks go. Personally, at first, I wasnt that excited by it, as I mostly am into older stuff, but as I hear more about it, even I am starting to get caught up in the buzz around this one. For me, the scale is a big plus.
  7. Dunno what an Atcheson is (Oz only, I presume?) But it looks good.
  8. really like the mack so far, look forward to seeing more.
  9. I have every issue, real shame that deal never took off. Mark was VERY frustrated with the lack of response, we had some long phone conversations about it.
  10. This is from Mark Savages old magazine. Guy was a pioneer. AStill have some of his resin tires & wheels. REALLY good stuff.
  11. I have never owned one of the Revell tool KW's (hey, what can I say, I'm old school!) But seeing this thread has made me think about getting one.
  12. I thought the N-10s were sold in the states? I know they were here in Canada...
  13. Very nice. Scratchbuilding the booms is a big job. Like the visors, nice touch. I am slowly doing a similar build on a round-fendered Autocar, although I am back-dating it to the mid fifties.
  14. Anything you can send is great. The contour on the upper edge of the hood that starts about a foot in front of the cab and dips inwards is where I really need more pics/info. I think I can pretty well eyeball how much to narrow it by working backwards from the grill width. I will pm you my info. I am looking forward to taking a run at this, already have a plan formulated in my mind, hopefully I can pull off something that looks pretty decent.
  15. Cool! I can see a neat single axle gas powered bakery truck...
  16. Has about the nicest six-spoke front wheels that have ever been in a kit, IMO.
  17. Looks good. I like the backdrop in the last photo, looks like from around here.
  18. I noticed that one when I was looking through your fotki. Looks interesting.
  19. Arent those front tires from Plaskit/Daniel?
  20. Like the Arrow tractor in the one pic, those trucks used to be EVERYWHERE around here.
  21. Yes, the Hayes HDX's and Pacific P16's are real monsters, pretty much all you see in the off-road logging applications on Vancouver Island. If the logging Industry ever makes a real comeback around here, I dont know what they are gonna do, with Hayes & Pacific being out of business. When logging went up the pipe, they followed pretty fast. Real shame, an important part of life and an important part of our identity in BC is gone.
  22. These things were built 30 miles from my house when I was a kid. Around here, Peterbilts & Kenworths were considered "girly-man" trucks when I was a kid. Pacifics & Hayes were "it". If you want to see why, go to the video page on this site, click on the 7th frame over from the left, test drive of the last Pacific made. What a behemoth. Best trucks ever were made right here in SW BC. Well, except maybe an old chain drive Sterling...
