Reliable Resin replied to Privateer's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Hummmmmmmmm I didn't have any problem what so ever Building mine here Mock Up in our Old White Resin Got a lil' Creative w/ the YSC Decals & Color I went w/ a Larger Hood Bulge Note that the Stock kit Body & all the under cuts were a Huge Challenge to make a Mold of , after 100's of Hours of Modifing the Bodies Correct Curves & Accents Vertebrally Impossible to cast a Mold w/ that Cowl Cross Member Piece w/ that Dash Board TAB ....... However I did Cut the Cross Section out of the Stk Plastic Kit Body w/o any problems what so ever & sectioned it in w/ Decent Resluts However , I didn't seem to any problems w/ this Casting * Guess it's true what they say: " It's not the Tools , it's the Technician ! -
Nasty AA/FA
-
One of my Fav Colors that met. green Nice Clean Build We went w/ the Earlier AA/FA look w/ the Shorter wheel base Real easy modification on the Chassis to shorten the wheel base We also have a few Other "BUGS" in the bull pen TBA One of these days I'll complete one , for now .............just Mocked Up
-
Subtle mods to the P/L F/C chassis Easiest one to work with to create a chassis for the shorter wheel based bodies Take a Close look at the images of Works in Progress at the chassis mods I made to the P/L chassis I'm sure you'll do fine
-
Gary I hope you have Cable Modeum or DSL ................LOL  Check your email Build ON ! Don

That must have been my Master of the C5 53 that I never received back  LOL
-
Issy Looking Good Having Flash Back when " I did the MASTER " of the C5 53 *note To reinforce the Larger Putty Spans *I glazed it w/ CA Glue FYI ... back in the day Mini Exotics ( Gerry C ) did that in 1/24 ( just the Body ) & to the best of my Knowledge ........ I "think" I saw a Body over on evilBay already in Resin ( I could be wrong ) in 1/25 I was in contact w/ the owner of the Blue SR2 a while back & ( some where ) have many reference picture of that car "all around in & out " I also assisted in the display of that SR2 ( Blue ) at Corvettes @ Carlisle when it was in Chips Choice . While helping them set up the display, I was the one in the Driver Seat & that Steering Wheel was HUGE & no power steering Urggg, >> My hand & forearms were tired after Grunting that wheel around ! As far as the significant difference between the 2 Race Cars Bill T's & Rich M's ( Blue / Red ) I can tell you that the interiors are very different, the Show Car is all together another deal in it's self I have a few ideas , email me directly & we can discuss the details BTW ..... I know have Free Long Distance & can call you Build ON ! Don

Well.......... while attending an NNL , I watched the way Gregg shot the Models for the Mag Simple Curved Poster Board background, however I don't have Big $'s for the Flash /Strobe lights #1 Many think that they need to get Right Up on the Subject which 90% is way to close .......... i.e. on a 3/4 Shot the Front of Car is out of focus & the Background is in focus What I do is set the Tripod approx. 1 > 1.5 ft away (then crop the image in Photo Shop) #2 I like using GE Reveal Bulbs, they cast a Clean Blue Light as the Erg Bulbs cast a Yellowish light I probably spent $1,000 of dollars on wasted NFG pic's back in the day of SLR ( film ) Cameras When I got this Dig Camera What I did was tried various settings & wrote down what settings I used ea. pic on a 3X5 card in the corner of the pic A lil' Trial & Error ............ until I got the result I wanted One thing That I know works well , is I like shooting w/ 2 Desk Lights w/ Reveal Bulbs in them w/ NO OTHER lights on in the room When all fails ............ read the Camera manual  Build ON !
