Andy #1 > What did you start w/ to create "YOUR" 63 Vette ( a AMT 63 Vette Correct ? ) #2 > What I received was something SIMILAR to what you show in Images of that Built Up, It was sent to me by a Slot Car guy, who wanted a few of them ( it was Really Rough To say the Least ) *Honestly , I have / had NO IDEA who this Cheese Cast guy was ! nor your association w/ him ( seems you have / had a fall out between you & he ) It was Basically Garbage That same Slot Car guy > who sent me that piece got it off Evil Bay years ago & that's all he KNEW To be quite frank w/ you, I've seen your efforts before ( admiring for years ),,,,,However .... what I received was not a very good representation of what I & other have become accustom to seeing from your hands Nor did it Look Like a recent 63 P/M Car I can assure you that there's MUCH more work that I invested into that piece ( I received from the Slot Car guy ) than simply re-graphed Front End , I have modification photos & they are extensive ! #3 > As much work into the one I recreated , as I'm sure when into the one you 1st did , in converting an AMT 63 Vette , into what ever that was supposed to represent Interesting that we Don't Hear AMT ( if thats what you started w/ ) Bashing You ....................... & they PAID $ for the Rights ! #4 > When it's Election Time in the USA , the candidate that Slings the Muds , in the end Losses Creditability ( w/ each slanderous commercial ) #5 > Andy, Your a Resin Caster , you did that one Master ( or claim to , which we'll believe OK ) If it's such a Gold Gem , why aren't you casting that oine & offering it Your Self ? #6 > To address the Images we Post Showing the Finished Product ..(Shaking my head in disbelief ) When you look at ANY MODEL KIT , they show a Build model, or an Image of a REAL CAR Are you to assume that , that's what the Box Content Contain ( I really can't believe I have to address this ) #7 > Fellow Modelers , This is OUR HOBBY to KEEP, OURS !!!!! Not for these "alleged" model Builders , that WASTE OUR TIME > Ranting & Raving on ANY Mes. Brd. any give day ! Let's Take Back OUR Mes. Brds for these idiots ! I like what Darin Stated in previous Message " Time to Put Up or Shut Up ! " Talks Cheap , you want to Earn Respect ....... that isn't achieved by ( attempts ) to "be little another" ............. POST PICTURES OF YOUR MODELS THAT YOU BUILT ! Then let the Modeling Public make their Choice "Seeing is Believing , & a Pictures Worth a 1,000 Words ............. Talks Cheap ! To whom this may concern & ALL interested ! #1 > Fact....... that Barton Rat Roaster was MASTERED BY: Don Fahrni ! #2 > I'm VERY BUSY here, fulfilling Orders & do Not have time to reply to ALL OF THE FALSE ACCUSATIONS being perpetuated by the immoral minority ( over there on SLM ) #3 > This NONSENSE ( yes Jim , you should know how that words spelt ! ) Is getting OLD , and from the looks of things , nothings changed since I & may other Good Modelers Left that group over 5 years ago #4 > As far as SLM , I left that Group , not the other way around ! I Got Sick & Tired of 50 > 60 emails ( @ least ) in my email box "a Day" that had Nothing to do w/ Modeling what so ever. After all isn't that what the intent of these Mes. Brds are for > Building Models , not a Hen House / Sewing Circle ? As of late, even Current members are getting Sick & Tired of what's "going on " over there & the pleas from these members to Move On continue to go Unheard (after 5 years) #5 > Many a Good Modeler has ALSO LEFT that group LONG AGO for similar reasons #6 > Seems many members of the aforementioned group spend an awful amount of Time on the Computer & Less time actually building models * All one has to do, is ................(as Darin did ) become a member & take a look at the Posts on SLM for the Last 3 Months ! I think Darin hit the nail on the Head : ( I'm new to this Board & don't know how to do that *quote Fwd thing > yet Posted: Fri 13 Apr, 2007 6:31 am Post subject: Darin Wrote : -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Considering that to many this seris of attack auctions and message board rants will be many modelers first impression of "straight line modelers" I would be very concerned over the reputation that group is getting. Negativity has driven me from a couple of boards lately, and while i have intrest in the subject, this current situation almost guarantees I won't be visiting SLM anytime soon. _____________________________________________________________ Enough already ! Let's get back to Posting Images of Works in Progress & Finished Builds We shall be Posting Images of Builds Very Soon .......... I'll allow the work to speak for it's self Don -
Well now, I'll take into consideration that it's Friday the 13th , how silly of me to think that this Non Sense would end I'd have a better chance of my Wish for * World Peace * (or peace in Our Hobby at least) I've REALLY been trying to take the High Road here, however none of this is related to business, It's turned into (attempts at) a Personal Attack against me What I was wearing, where I've been, who I've dated ,,,,, Jeeesh, I was awaiting the outcome of the Anna Nicole's Baby DNA test, as I mighta been accused of being the Babies Daddy In the past few years there has been way to much Finger pointing He said, she said, honestly .......... If anyone didn't know any better & didn't realize these posts were Modeling Related >You'd all come across sounding like that High School girl who got Stood Up on Senior Prom Night ! Mr. Jim Kampman #1 > Welcome to the Ring ! { Actually surprised you took sooo long } #2 > Interesting how you "sign off" w/ Good Stuff Inc. Is "Good Stuff" now an ongoing concern? It reeks of : "The Artist formerly know as PRINCE !" Then you contradict yourself stating the reason you got out of this business was because of Guy's Like Me To the best of my knowledge & EVERYONE else in this Hobby, you made a Public announcement over 6 years ago that you had Closed you Doors for Business So which is it, are you Jim Kampman formerly know as Good Stuff Inc. When I sit back & think about it, your whole Post is a Contradiction in it's self Besides being BS, your self centered (ego) need to "be heard" ...... You could have been building Models ! #3 > Did you ever return the Masters to the Individuals who made a contribution (sent masters) to Good Stuff , upon your announcement that you were closing those door for business ? I know a few who had sent you masters & they have given me their Blessing ! #4 > Joe Curtis of Fremont Racing : ( a very Good Friend of Mine & Up Most Respect for ) Upon Closing his doors has returned many Masters that I created for Fremont to offer the Modeling Public & has also sent me many others to (again) Offer to the Modeling Public to "Pasted the Torch On " *if you will #5 > Perry's Resin : I at one time worked in conjunction w/ Randy Allow me to say that I do respect him, as a friend & as a resin caster. His efforts in casting are 1 Rate However I could no longer wait Months on End to receive Resin Pulls of the Masters that I had sent As I am also Professional Model Builder, and live at a higher sense of urgency that my Vendor I had lost $1,000's of dollars w/ returned deposit to my customers, who weren't as understanding & patience as I was (at that time) A decision was made to Handle Our Resin needs in House , I requested that my poured & unpoured master returned ........... You do not know the facts & they are between Randy & I, not you & the publics ! (if necessary I can provide images of those masters in progress) #6 Your Comment Rights Owner: This one got Laughs all over the Model Community ( as my email IN box was FULL ) We all had No Idea that you are the "Right Owner" of Ford, GM, Chrysler etc...... I for one find it hysterical that you "bestowed" your "Oh Mighty Blessing" to some one else. How can you give RIGHTS permission of what you don't have or own ? {I for one would like to know if you have your hat's custom made ? } Approx. a year ago, our Attorney's had that same conversation w/ you Would you like to have it *again ? ( I'm sure He still has your information) Over 5 years ago, I stated Publicly where these "master" that you accusing me of Cloning ....I can assure countless hours go into our masters, repairing the flaws & making them user friendly from where ever they came ! Everyone who's worked your resin "GOOD STUFF" has invested that same amount of time as I I did not sliver, squirm, lie.....(as many did) ........... nor did I need to Didn't "Good Stuff Inc." sell a major Modeling Mfr. components that were, well let's just say "Compiled," from Old MPC, JoHann etc..discontued kits ? ( I'm sure you were the Rights Owner then as well, if not that could be considered Fruad ) Please do not misunderstand that, over 7 years ago, Good Stuff was a welcome pkg. in anyone's Mail Box (when we Finally Received it) & the up to the standards & accepted for those times 15 > 7 years ago I find it interesting that individuals attempts to castrate me over my efforts 5 years ago, appalling & unacceptable as we're done nothing but improve Light Years ahead of where we were Not to mention, the most recent Item in question, that was the 1st Model Body I ever cast & have since re molded ( better ) as it's sold so well. Many a fine modeler has built w/ stelar results (I've already addressed this) " Water always seeks it's level " 5 Years ago, word on a few Yahoo! Mes. Brds were that I wouldn't last (or be successful) & be Out of Business in a year We are celebrating our 5th year Anniversary this Month & 5 years later these same Yahoo! Message Board is now a Cesspool of discontented non modelers, however "talking lots about building & everthing under the sun , but No Building" ( which BTW are an endangered spieces ) ...................Reliable Resin is still dominating the Threads & word has it that there's even a COUP' ( LOL ) to rid the World of this Tyrant ! However in the Court of Public option I have a 99% w/ 1,000's of adorning, satisfied customers & Great Friends Time will only tell if my Skins Thick enough to endure another 5 ( who wants Odd's ? ) I can only Hope in the next 5 years, we'll have World Peace & everyone has a date for the Prom The Modeling Community, will all be building Models, Posting Pic's of Completed efforts, sharing Tips & Technique's All the Computers ( PC's ) of Non Builders, Cluttering up those Mes Brds w/ Non Sense, will all "Self Distruct" as their Computers will have had it w/ the Non Sense as well ! Oh Yeah...................we'll find out that Elvis was abducted by Aliens & returned in cira 1962 condition Radio Stations play Only Rock & Roll/ R&B / Motown instead of Rap .......Gas Prices are $.99 a Gallon One can Wish , can I one ................... ! Truth is it's not a prefect world nor will ever be There's is one thread the binds us all here ....... That's Building Models Let's at least TRY TO GET ALONG as we all LOVE THIS HOBBY & there's enough Hate in this world to go around, seriously ........... lets try ...really Try, To keep it out of the Hobby........... We Love Soooo Much What would you pay to feel they way it once was? When we all were Kids , spending our allowance on 2 kits & Paint & Built all wkd long PIF guys ! Let's not Point Our Fingers at one & Other anymore Suggestion : Take that Finger & the Other four on that Hand, then take that other Hand Grab a Kit & Build IT When I think of all the time, I now that I wasted w/ Hate on Mes Brds Etc.......... & If I invested that time developing product, pouring resin, fulfilling orders I might get in some Modeling Time Keep our hands on the Bench, building Models "Modeling is Meditation, not Masturbation " I'm Don Theune & I do approve this meassge I am not Ruler of the free world But, I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night ! BTW ..................... I did write this , I know where the Spell Ck Key is * Marc , thank you for posting that 63 Vette , it made a Statment !

To the Valued members of the Modeling Community: At a time when the Hobby has lost a number of great aftermarket suppliers, we are proud to announce & share with you that during the month of April, 2007, Reliable Resin is celebrating its Fifth Anniversary. As we celebrate this important milestone, we have been extremely busy, focusing on new product development, new product packages, and a new and improved website, all for the benefit of you, our customers. After five years casting resin, we have learned a lot. As any model builder does from time to time, we will pull out one of our builds that we completed years ago, and in looking at it we identify ways that we could have build it better. That means that we have improved, grown and become a better modeler. Same holds true for any aspect of our life…â€Practice Makes Perfect". In the past five years, Reliable Resin has made major strides with our efforts in resin casting. We are constantly striving to improve our products, diversify our product line, and offer our costumers what they need to make the best model possible with our resin products. In an effort to provide the best resin products possible, two years ago we started experimenting with various and different resins and blends from several resin wholesale distributors. This research and development effort occurred over a course of a few months, until we hit on a blend that yielded a higher quality product for my customers. The new blend of resin that Reliable Resin is using has a tan, cream, or beige color. Resin casting isn't an exacting science and is effected by fluctuations of temperature, humidity, etc…just like spraying paint, As the quality of our offerings improved, we began to catch the attention of some of the top model builders around the world that, in turn, began making minor but significant contributions to our efforts here, and to the Hobby as a whole. Even though we have been preoccupied with new product development, taking care of customer orders, and all the normal duties of running an aftermarket business, we still find time to monitor the various message boards and internet forums in order to keep our finger on the pulse of the hobby that we all love. Recently, an issue regarding one of my products has dominated the message boards, e-mails, and of all places, Ebay. And until this point in time, you have only heard one side of this story. Having thought long and hard about this after suggestions from numerous individuals, I have decided to tell my side of the story in order to put an end to this drama. _______________________________ 1) A few short months ago, I received an email that informed me that someone seemed to have a problem with our resin product. The email provided an email address so that I could contact the individual to inquire about the problem. I sent an email to this person inquiring the specifics of the problem, i.e. Name / Address / Nature of the problem with product / item in question / date of purchase / was this a Direct Purchase or from eBay, etc. Standard questions that the answers to would allow me to effectively cross reference this item to an order, invoice, etc. 2) I received an email reply from an Alan Bohach, from Canada regarding a ‘66 Comet body he purchased from Reliable Resin 4 years ago. The email was accompanied by a few photos and he stated that he could not provide specific paper work pertaining to this order as it occurred 4 years ago. As I read his reply and looked at the pictures he sent, I began to question why I hadn't received a email concerning this product before now. I also noticed that the resin bodied pictured was white resin, which Reliable Resin has not used for almost two years now. 3) I replied to the email with one basic, responsible, and I thought, reasonable question: "4 Years ago? Why didn't you contact me after you received the product in question? " 4) I received an email reply, stating Mr. Bohach had heard a "Rumor" on a Yahoo (Drag Racing Related) message board that I was a "Jerk" and “Unreasonableâ€, and based on that not to expect a reply. Mr. Bohach did not bother emailing me about this concern. 5) Our Reply to this email, "Allow me to take all of this into ***consideration.*** I'll be getting back with you." After all, the goal of Reliable Resin is that all of our customers enjoy their model experience when using our product, even though this one was a bit "after the fact". We are all part of the Modeling Brotherhood. As it is in any business, large or small, Customer Service is paramount. However, after four years with no direct contact from the customer and without any supporting documentation, I doubt ANY business would honor any complaint under these terms. 6) In the early years of Reliable Resin, it was not uncommon for us to include a few extras, factory seconds, and bonus items that were deemed non-sellable, i.e. complementary. 7) Shortly there after, while processing all of this Information and taking everything into consideration, we began to receive emails and telephone calls alerting us that someone had launched a “Smear Campaign†in an effort to bash Reliable Resin, our product, and me personally, over on the Yahoo! "Straight Line Modeler" forum, as well as a few other Yahoo! Model forums. These emails had included photo' of the same images that Mr. Bohach had sent me. The most disturbing aspect of this was it was started prior to Reliable Resin extending courtesy to Mr. Bohach (our first email customer service effort to Mr. Bohach in reference to this 4 year old purchase). By this time, Mr. Bohach’s Smear Campaign was dominating the internet message boards, exhausting the patience of the few remaining messages boards that permitted this nonsense to continue. Reliable Resin later received an email from Mr. Bohach, asking me if I had made a decision regarding his 4 year old purchase. We replied with an email request that he confirm that he was the individual posting the pictures all over the Message Boards prior to my #1 initial email. Mr. Bohach replied, "Yes, that was me." At that point our decision was clear. Reliable Resin would not rectify this situation because the Mr. Bohach failed to communicate his problems with Reliable Resin product within a reasonable amount of time following his purchase. _____________________________________________________________ Now that you have heard, “the rest of the storyâ€, it is time to put this behind us. Reliable Resin wants to thank you for your past and future patronage as we start our next five years supporting this hobby we all know and love. Don Theune Note* Our NEW PRODUCT LINE is all in this NEW RESIN FORMULA Cream Colored !! { Not White }
