just opened a kit ive had a few years,its the pete 377 by italeri, the engine is the detroit 60. what color is the real engine?

thats good, I have not built this kit before. does the boom move like the one on the pete can-do?

think I will build mine red with the silver strips on it. i have an unbuilt ERTL great dane reefer for it.

thanks dave for that imfo, no steer axle will make the parts stronger and thats good. i have made my poor wife crazy talking about this kit but she will get over it. well i hope she does.

i think the kit has a cummins engine. the old one from italeri. thats what it looks like to me.

dave, white R light gray works for me. makes it easy to paint. will you paint the mock-up or not? and when can we see pictures of it with the wheels on? you have done a great job on this kit and want to see more pics as soon as we can. mike c.

puff theres pics of the mock-up in this thread and it looks alot like the harley rig, from what i see, the headlights and bumper R not the same but there can be more i dont see.i like the black and silver on it.

lobbs AMT had a nascar trailer a few years back,but it was the moving van with nascar stuff in it. the kit is out there, you will have to track one down.BUT ITS NOTHING LIKE THE TRAILERS NASCAR HAS NOW. you will have to scratch build it.

dave, you do know that this kit will get KIT OF THE YEAR,and all of your hard work will pay off in the long run.and us truck builders will have the lonestar

hey dave,the wrecker body on the lonestar looks cool. that could be moebius models next kit,the revell can-do wrecker was not done like the real truck.the lonestar wrecker would be true to the real thing.that would be a great kit with all of the lights and extendable boom and stuff. i know, im just wishing for the moon. mike cole

i was just thinking,my wife is a LPN, when she sees the 10 or so lonstar kits i pre-ordered and beats me up, she can then patch me back up

with all of the truck lines that run the lonstar.it will be like a burger,have it your way

i saw that too, the whole top looks like it mite come off. i seen a lonestar today just for a few secs and it could have ben for SYGMA. the fast food comp that does checkers and sonic here in town.
