Made a little bit of progress on this one. I really like painting but the masking process I really do not enjoy, but im happy with the results. Thanks for looking!

Hi all! Im calling this one done. (first finished of 2016) I took the interior out 3 times and put it back together, and also all the glass and sanded some parts down for clearance and just couldn't get the body and the chassis to fall into place in the front. This one really tried my patience and i had to stop myself from destroying it. I ended up painting all the glass black taking out the dashboard and door panels and ended up with a semicurbside model. (it still has the engine) anyways enough about it, here are the pics. Thanks for looking. Here is the link to the W.I.P http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/94370-06-camaro/ Some outside pics

I had some time this week for building. So far I started on the body work. I also started painting the chassis and finished painting all the suspension components. Ans also sprayed alclad on the parts I dechromed.

Thanks!! I'm pretty sure I tried doing one back in the 90's I think it was yellow on the box art and not having a airbrush or spray cans I remember painting it with my mom's nail polish and gluing it together with some testors glue that my friend gave me. Needles to say it was a fingerprint and brush marks disaster with missing parts of course. Hopefully this one I will be able to complete a lot cleaner . Thanks for looking.

Hi all! this is my new W.I.P, a 72 Vette that I started yesterday. I'ts an old kit so it has plenty of flash and mold lines to clean up but atleast it isnt warped like the last kit I finished. So far I painted most of the engine and suspension parts. I also dechromed all the chrome parts except for the wheels, I intend to spray some matte clear on those to bring down the shine a bit. If not l will spray alclad on it like I intend to on all the chrome parts. The interior Tub has the door panels engraved in very faint, so Ill try to see what I can do whit that . The other thing I dont like is the chassis but I guess some masking and patience will take care of that. I also glued in the bottom chin and test fitted the front bumper. Also glued the seats backs and puttied them. Im hopeing to get atleast some building time tommorow, so i should get more done.

Hi all! here is my 2nd R8 build and although it was my 2nd one it fought me all the way. The chassis was twisted so therefore nothing went in easy even after I thought I straiten out. I had to cut the side windows and only leave the rears before the b pillar and had to crazy glue the body to the chassis. Well enough, here are the pics. (W.I.P link http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/108018-my-2nd-audi-r8/#comment-1549026) More pics with the first R8 i built. It was the same box but on the white one the taillights came clear and on the first one they came molded in clear red.

Hi all! I spent some time clearing polishing and clearing again and i was able to save this one from the paint stripping pond. Next to complete the chassis and start on the body window trim and little details. here are a few pics, for some reason the true color doesn't show on the pics. It has a real nice purple sheen to it. Thanks for looking!

Well, I had a very productive week and weekend on this one but also a drawback. the engine is 99% percent complete and all the chassis parts are painted. The interior is all done. Here is where the problem happened, for some reason is not visible on the pics but after I started the polishing process I left a wet towel on the car for a couple of days and the clear blistered up. I'm guessing it was that the humidity made its way into the clear so I sanded it down a bit more and ill try to save it by applying more clear and then start the polishing process again (minus the wet towel) hopefully that will take care of the issue if not in the purple pond it will go.

Well hopefully I got the body straight enough . The first pic is what I started with and the second pic is with the base color already applied. I also started on the chassis and hopefully this weekend I'll get some more work done on the interior. Thanks for looking.

Thank you for the compliment and I'm glad i was able to somehow help you with your dilemma.

Started on the interior. sprayed down the two main colors, now just to let it dry and do the details.

Hi all, I've built one of these a while back and my brother in law gave me a new one, so its time to build another one. I'm planning on a pearl white for the body and gray and black interior box stock.
