Hi...This is my new Diorama 1/24 , "Barbo's Car Wash" ......Barbo

It also gives a "gravel" look finish when sprayed on some roofs ......Barbo

I decided to change the brown stone color to a lighter grey color , so it would look more like a sand castle ....here are the pictures , now to work with my snowy rocky mountain base for the Castle and trian.....Barbo

Hi, my two sons (27 , 23) told me that they don't want a Christmas tree in our home this year , they want me to do a Christmas Diorama . So I started my new project . I built my castle 24" tall and has a base of 12"x 12" , its made out of foambard ( my favorite material) paper napkin tubes and paper cones . I will paint it with Stone Textured Finish from American Accents , this spray paint is great for roofs in dioramas . I recieved a broken G scale train from my niece , I cleaned it and fix it like new . Now I am bulding a snowy montain ....lets see what happens in our next chapter....Barbo

Hi, this is my new 1/18 scale Shell gas station , it was all scratch built , foamboard , balsa and plastc , except for the gas pums , I just redecorated it with shell homemade decals ...I hope you guys like it...Barbo

My Model is symilar to this one , But has a more realistic finish texture. I also made a larger copy over cardboard from 9" to 18" and reinforced the structures with foamboard inside so if they fall they won't bend or damage. I am very happy because a local newspaper from our island use my model for the front page as a tribute...Barbo

Hi , I am building the model house Psycho (HO) from Polar , but I am not going to use the base that comes with it, I will do the original topographic base and the hotel by using the drawings from Universal Studios....Barbo

Thanks, its true, It must be gray but sometimes I am a rebel and do things dif. ha,ha,ha. I did find the HO scale of the Munsters vehicle but not the Adam's Family vehicle....Barbo

Hi , this is a 1/24 scale Diorama that I built using a post card of a Historical building in Puerto Rico " Serralles" the post card was 5"x7" I made a larger copy and used it as a back drop...Hope you guys like it.........Barbo

Hi , this sept. 11, 2011 will be the 10th aniversary of 911 . There are so many sad photos to remember , but I rather remember the World Trade Center the way I saw them so many times and the way I wish the goverment would build them again. "Its not the way we fall , its the way we Stand" God Bless America. This is a 16" cardboard and foamboard model of the greatest structures of our history.....Barbo

Cars 2 is here soon, and wow it's a great movie. Here are some full size vehicles and posters we had two weeks ago at Downtown Disney. Also photos of the new Diecast formula "Francesco Bernoulli" one of my favorites in the new movie. I even found a new home for it in my existing Diorama...ha,ha,ha,.....Barbo

Hi...our 8th Caribbean Scale Auto Expo 2011 is on track again. We couldn't do it last year for many reasons, but now we are ready for nov. 6th 2011. What was once a normal basketball court and home of a great model builder club of my friend Papo 15 years ago is now the Fernando Rube Hernandez Coliseum. I want to thank our local Hobby Shops and sponsors . Also ABC Family Channel for there one of a kind first class trophies , ESPN for our give away event t-shirts both from Walt Disney Company....."Believe"...Barbo

Hi..I wonder if this happens to you, every time I start a new Diorama I have to go to several Hobby Shops, toy stores and the internet to get all I need to finish my model. This can take weeks or even months. I decided to do something different for the first time. What if I do a new Diorama with only a one stop source for all I need. I do not work for Hobby Lobby but it is about 15 mnts away from my apt. So , I picked this one. They sell small houses made of paper mache, about 4"x7" in 1/32 scale and in many styles. And best of all they had a 50% off , from 5.99 to 2.99. Everything was available , foam boards , paints ,tress and bushes, grass , diecast vehicles , figures and scrapbook materiales to do windows , doors and shingles.....Barbo
