  1. I find that it's a LOT easier on an adults income than a paper route. I didn't really have to think twice about buying an airbrush or a Dremel. When I started I was painting with Q-Tips. I just counted that I have a backlog of $500 worth of kits (bought over time and don't tell my wife )
  2. I had to check after seeing that. . Same left to right! Thanks for the compliments.
  3. The headliner does look great. BTW what is the "salt technique"? I'm new to the new stuff.
  4. Still knocking the rust off. Here's some halfway progress shots
  5. That would look cool as a rat rodded wagon with the blanket seat covers and a surfboard up top
  6. Not me. I Always checked for an "adams apple"
  7. Just watch how you ask for a "teabag".
  8. Old Fords of that era had a LOT of stainless on them and it's very good quality too. I have a '62 Tbird and the chrome areas (bumpers etc) were a mess but the trim over the fenders was perfect.
  9. Maybe just do it on the "north" side of the model like one door panel and seat sides
  10. How about some moss on the dash?
  11. Paul.......Repeat after me......Honey how many shoes can you wear at once?
  12. A larger pic of the bug in the avatar would be great.
  13. The decals disintegrated. I'll buy a set off of Ebay
  14. A model worth $2 in 1972 would be worth $12 (on a inflation calculator) now so I can't agree with the manufacturers pricing. The manufacturers raised prices and cut costs to squat so I'm gonna guess they are doing pretty well. Especially since they are continually re-releasing kits with tooling made decades ago in a lot of cases
  15. Nice meeting both you Jeff and Paul. I only bought some magazines as my wife (who I love dearly) is wondering why I keep walking in the house with another kit.
  16. Heads up if anyone has a Discount Drug Mart by them check out their model selection. It was pretty decent in the North Canton store and I don't think any were over $19.99
  17. Hemi Dart kit. But I'm going to build a copy of one of the cars my dad had when I was a kid. A lowly 3 on the tree, slant 6 with dog dish hubcaps kind of car
  18. I'll try and pick up the model today. maybe my wife didn't count how many I have to build yet. But if she does I'll have to start counting her shoes.
  19. That would be really great of you
  20. I was wondering since my dad had a '68 Dart (not Hemi of course) is there a slant six engine out there someplace? Dad had a stripped down one and I remember going to the dealer with him to look for a car and I of course wanted him to get something with stripes and chrome wheels but since I was 8 my vote didn't count
  21. Words cannot describe that! Just amazing doesn't cover it
  22. I'll try and show up early.
  23. Yes the 3D printers will be a great boon to this. All you need to do is scan a Johan body and then re-pop them.
