With these kits (67 SHelby and fastback) I have glued the front and rear sections together and paint the entire body as one piece. It’s a little trickier getting the chassis in the body. This way you can fill in the gaps where there are not supposed to be any. I cannot remember about the radiator but it should be attached to the radiator support. Ignore the red reflection on the chrome in the pictures.

Very nice and the interior looks amazing. I have a set of MCG photoetch somewhere and will have to add them to the next one I build.

We have reached an agreement with the family of Bob Peeples wherein the Moonlight Modelers Club will acquire his legendary unfinished Cobra CSX project with all its unassembled components and reference material.
They have withdrawn the model from sale.
The International Model Car Builder's Museum has expressed enthusiastic desire to receive and display the project as a demonstration of super-detailing that can be accomplished, even in 1/25 scale.
We do not intend to complete the model. It will be displayed as the in-progress build it was, amid its unassembled components and research material. Once we acquire the model, we will be working with the museum to prepare an appropriate exhibit platform.
We intend to make the formal presentation of the exhibit to the museum next May at the 25th GSL.
Donations to help fund the acquisition and the exhibit can be made directly to the museum and will therefore be tax deductible as 501-C3 charitable contributions. Donors will be provided receipt certificates. The proceeds of the acquisition contributions will be distributed to Bob's family through the museum.
Make contributions payable to: "Model Car Builder’s Museum"
Please mail any contributions to:

I know the thread was started a long time ago. Are the unfinished models (works of art) still in the museum?

Beautiful Daytona. Nice work on the corrections and details.
I smiled as I read your opening line because, Yes, I did wonder about that flat nose on the Gunze Daytona. It was the first thing I noticed when I opened my new kit in the early 90s. It didn't quite seem to match reference photos, and I wondered if it was patterned off of a damaged car. I didn't think much more about it until, one evening in the late 90s, I was watching the 1965 flick Redline 7000 and was amused to see one of the characters was driving a Daytona Coupe as his daily. Cool. But then, I watched in horror as the dude stuffed the Daytona in a ditch nose first. From that point on I had wondered if the Gunze car was patterned after the movie car. Not the case though, as I later learned the movie car was CSX2287, which has unique coachwork relative to the other five, and as you noted, the Gunze kit is patterned off CSX2299.
CSX2287 has a bizarre history from the Salt Flats records to movies to the National Register. I have seen the car several times at the Simeone museum in Philly and at the Washington DC auto show where I got to talk to Pete Brock for about 30 minutes.

Although fake engine noise is dumb, it does sound cool. And apparently Dodge make it just as loud as a Hellcat can be. 126db.
Looks pretty good too. I'm guessing for production, the mirrors will grow and the wheels will change.
Does it talk to you?

I paid 40 plus 12 in shipping costs
If you paid in Singapore currency. It should be about $40 US.

Seats ordered. 52.00 shipped. Now for the tire !
I checked my two kits (Magnifer and Trumpeter) and I have one set of the aftermarket tires and the resin spare but no aftermarket seats. I just ordered the seats from mediamixhobby and with the currency exchange rate it should only be about $40 shipped. The race is on to see who gets them first.

Nice job Gary. Keep them coming.

I like the improvements you have made.

Yes $150 would have been crazy money especially with the “new” AMT kit coming out. I picked up an original MPC 66 fastback which I figure will never be issued again. Are you just going to wait for the new kit or work with what is there? Now that I zoom in on the pictures I did not realize one of the AMT versions had the GT emblems molded in. Like the MPC kit they are a bit oversized but it makes the body unique.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. I had not built a Revell kit in a while and I was pleased how this one came out.
