Got this today in the mail.............wow, the box was full of stuff, different types of wood, plastic parts, a stamped hood (you bend to shape), clear acetate for glass and an assortment of wire for fabing parts. You stuff the seat w/cotton....you gotta be kid'in. 2 sets of plans/details......this will be a in-depth study/build. I for-see more of these in my future, and I have located "Ole 16" too. Rick

I know I talk more than I build, but I have just got to say..........without a doubt, I am a member of many Forums that cover differant subjects, but I believe this one to be my favorite of them all........really like this place and the people that make it fun. Now everyone can gag..........I know, too mushy! Rick

Your attention to detail and your artistic approach with paint to bring out the details many miss.........just refreshing. I look everyday to see if you have posted a progress photo, you just keep on raising the bar. The trunk is a beaut......... Rick

OH GOODIE another Pocher in the making and one of my fav's too boot. This to me is one of the best kits produced by Pocher in the fact of the metal frame and suspension parts that make up this beautiful piece of German engineering. Love the engine in this one, very easy to detail w/after market or from scratch. I built this kit way back in the day.....took auto wax and water buffed the un-painted black plastic parts, assembled and won a contest with it in Bamberg Germany.........many could and would not believe I had not painted the body! Sold to the Hobby Shop that sold it to me, and I believe to this very day, sets in a Benz dealership in Bamberg FRG........maybe? You will enjoy this beast and I will be watching..........funny you have come along with this one.........I have been watching for a built version being sold for the cheap, will take apart, re-model as the famous Blue Goose. Will be watching. Rick

I just joined this wonderful forum and the only thing I am posting at this time is the 1/8th Fiat. I have been smearing glue most of my life.....my Dad got me hooked when I watched him build a Ideal Harley in 1957. Amazing one can remember stuff like that and I can't remember what I did yesterday. Took a break after building wood ships and just started building again. Rick

Seats look fine, again this is one of those implied details.........you did your magic to the seat portion and left the other as smooth......no one the wiser unless you point it out........ . Impressive, very. Rick

Well, whats up buddy!

Looking forward to your suggestion, really like the ITC Mercer you did, I am trying even now to pinch one off of eBay, but do not know just how high it will go, 6 days left for bids yet!Rick
-
You are talking about the ITC Kit.One is on ebay right now and has 6 days to go and a bid war has already started for this bad boy, also found the Dusey as well.......#1 is start bid @ $200.00 and #2 is Buy Now f/$204.00 .......guess it would be best to go ahead and go for the Buy Now one! Is there ever a end to this madness of gotta have this kit too!!!!!!!!!!!8(. Rick
-
Not now, after I made the 1st bid, now has 8 and climbing............8(Sorry I thought you were talking about the ITC kit on eBay, the one you are refering too is a MPC 1/24th scale!

I am a ole balsa cutter, and I have built many Cleveland kits, but I have never built one of these. I have already searched eBay and spyed severial I am interested in. Again, I am so enjoying your build. I do however have a question, what are you using to seal the grain of the balsa for painting? The car is just lovely to look @ and the photo of the car @ the last of your posted photos hooked me like a Big Ole Bass. Rick

PS: I am building a Pocher FIAT and yes, I do agree, the tires are too skinny, but you gotta go with what you got with the kit. Pretty sure I will replace w/solid white versions from Model Motorcars.com I guess one could carve/mold a front and rear tire to correct width, way too much work f/me..... Rick

Well, bought a Union version today and bidded on the ebay listed one (ITC) as well.........your build looks stunning, the pin stripping makes the finish pop w/o over doing the eye candy.....as said before, details get lost in the details. Do just enough to make people look twice and you got it done right. Thanks for sharing this. Rick

f1ford48 I would love to see you build something in this scale too. The best place to find large scale models is eBay, and noticed your handle is composed of my fav car bits.......F1 racing is @ the top of the food chain f/me, and I live less than a hour from CMS, go figure. Ford, have always been a Ford man, my Dad is, my Grand Father was and my other kin folks all pull for Ford no matter the type race. Then the 48, another of those numbers that bring to mind some really cool autos that were produced. So with noticing that, may I suggest for you a Big Deuce 33 Ford. Many options and a detailers playground. Just a thought my friend. Rick PS: Made a Offer f/the extra FIAT motor

A trip tomorrow for some supplies and I will post a photo of where I am @ on the engine. Was browsing eBay today and saw a fella in my neck of the woods has a FIAT Motor for sale.....down side, you have to make 3 purchase to get what is needed for the complete motor........ Some times you get ripped to complete what you need! But, of course one does not have to buy either do they................ Rick
