I finished this one over the weekend and pleased to say it turned out nice! The driver was from an italeri detail set just a little big for the scale the tractor is 1/25 and the figure is 1/24! Completely box stock! I sprayed the chrome with dull coat to give it that brushed aluminum look and I used testors metalizer on the frame! The tractors cab and bonnet were painted with krylon sun yellow the driver side stripes on the bonnet are missing cause I f'ed them up but I plan on building another truck and ill rob Peter to pay Paul for those stripes!

This was the first model that I had done with my dad and had been searching around for for the longest time finally got my hands on one! Building box stock. The gold playing was in decent condition for the age of the model but I wanted it to pop so I used tamiya clear yellow and wow what a difference!

So I naught this product from detail master called the detailer it comes in a variety of colors and is used for tinting windows and to give an iodized look to chrome or other parts and I was wondering how to use it exactly as the directions are kind of vagg! Has anyone used this would like any feedback

Looking good so far! Nice job on the weathering! Another step you could have used for the worn rusted look is applying your base coat as you did then spray on a coat of hairspray once that's dry using a paint brush and water start rubbing away the hairspray it will give that weathered look then when you reach your desired look use the browns and reds to get the rusted look! If you also go real heavy with the hairspray it will crack the paint which is also a cool effect!

Thanks everyone! Mdlbldr, the camaro I painted satin island blue its a krylon color! I got tired of paying 5 dollars for testors rattle cans and started using krylon paint they go on nice and dry in minutes and the variety of colors is awesome especially if you want a pastel color for your older cars! High octane, I don't know bro I never have been to a contest or even thought of entering in a contest and I'm honored that you think my work is show quality I've never built a peice that to me I think is worthy enough for a show and as an artist I'm always thinking each one can be better! Thanks again everyone who's posted it's always nice to get complements and any kind of fees back!
