  1. Great work Brendan! I'm looking forward to the finish of these two.
  2. Top notch job on this one Brendan! I have always like this car. I would buy the kit but I have to many unbuilt models already.
  3. Hello MCM I have been following some of David Thibideau's builds and he has stated that he used decals from "I just want to build model cars". Could you please provide more info on this business. Where they are, how to contact them or website etc. Thanks
  4. These two cars are very well done! No make that excellent! You could go one step further and make the Cayman a speedster. A single roll bar with a tonneau cover. I wonder what Porsche would charge for that conversion?
  5. That is a very nice collection of cars you have there. What scale are they?
  6. Gees Jairus, you bring a tear to my eye. I remember as a kid back in the 60's visiting my Grand Parents in Livonia/Detroit at Christmas time. My Bothers and I could walk to the local Mall. We would hit the hobby shop with our X-mas money for new kits and these magazines. You have stirred up good memories for sure. Happy Holidays and all the best for 2008 to you and to all.
  7. It's to bad that you can see paint cans or paint bottles in the upper right corner. No! no! no! not the Star Cans.... look higher in the top right. LOL Also the fore ground is a dead give away.
  8. Thanks for the tip Brendon I just visited Strada Sports and they do not list Quickskins in their product list any more. I try Island Collectibles and they still list all of the Quickskins products but they are all tagged as Discontinued. Sooooo .. it just might be that Quickskins is no longer in business. To bad if this is true, I always liked the Corvette GTP.
  9. Thanks Bill That is exactly what I needed to read to solve my problem. I have just posted my new model in "Under Glass" forum. Thanks for the help. PS I love your black Ferrari
  10. Well here is the last one to be completed for 2007. This is a Dragon model issued in 1996. It is now O.O.P. It's not up to the Dragon kit standards that out AFV modeler friends enjoy today. The parts count was very low and there is no white metal or photo-etch parts. A very simple curbside build and it turns out to be a very nice shelf model. Enjoy! Thanks for looking.
  11. OK! I admit I'm confused. I wanted to post a new model in the "Under Glass" forum. I'm having a problem adding photos. I have an off site photo bucket account and I have local images available to post as well. I could not find a "How to" or "tips & tricks" or "Tutorial" on this topic. So my questions are 1) Are photos to be uploaded from local disc storage? 2) Are photos to be uploaded from off site storage such as "Photo bucket" 3) Are photos inserted via the insert button (insert image) where you are prompted for the URL for the image Note I get an error message " Sorry, dynamic pages in the tags are not allowed" 4) Are photos to be uploaded as attachments Please point me to the right direction Thank you in advance for your assistance. CW
  12. That's an awesome job on the Vette. I would be afraid to step on the gas if it were a 1:1 car. Excellent detail and scratch building.
  13. This is an excellent example of a quality model builder. I have never built a Profil24 Kit. They are expensive and I always here bad reports about the quality of their products. Modelers like you who don't give up and fix all the problems just make them (Profile24) look good. We as modelers shouldn't have to put up with the headaches some model manufactures impose on us. Keep up the excellent work Brendan.
  14. Congrats on second place with the Boss. Nice photos! I love photos I can look at them all day. As well as VW O.E.M car emblems.
  15. The Turkey is real! They can talk but just can't fly. The car is real as well. I say that with confidence because the chrome on the mirrors and wheel caps is to good for a kit. But then again Turkeys can be wrong. But wait I'm not a Turkey..I'm a small prehistoric beast!
  16. Well you really out did yourself on this one. The Decal work is worth every bit of effort you put into it. Congrats on an excellent build!
  17. Thanks for the URL(s) and the where to find P/E set. I will be keep an eye on this W.I.P. I look forward to starting my R10 however it won't be for a while yet.
  18. Hello Jim I also have this same kit. I have not started it as yet. I have attempted to find some detail photos of the engine but what I have found so far are very basic. Do you have some URL(s) you can post?. Also I did not know of any photo etch sets that are available for this model. Studio 27 say that they will have one soon. What have you found from Dexter??. What you have done so far realy looks great!
