  1. If they fit the kit tires, i would call it to scale. If makes you feel better they can be listed as 22" 1/24 instead of 24 1/25.
  2. I would. I have 1s for 1/24, both 379 and 389. It would be cool to have someone offer hoods. There are a few out there makin 379 total conversions for 1/25.
  3. After doin some research, i found that the way i did the left 1 is the only way to do it on my own. Im a rookie at some of mods, so this is probably old news
  4. Im just messin around with my parts box tonight, in between builds at the moment now that they are all done. Kinda lookin for a way to use some of the extra parts. A buddy gave me these 1/24 float steers and a bunch of super singles, no rims. Cant seem to find rims alone except for MCA. I also discovered that italeri wheels have different beads. I took a few apart, the drives are gonna work out perfect, messed around and ended up with this for steers.
  5. Theres a really nice pete build on here, the guy did something like 30 or 40 super light coats and the finished wheels looked just like chrome
  6. This ? is lights related. Does anybody make the bullet style roof lights, im mainly looking for the lenses.
  7. Those look really good. Keep us posted when they are available. Have you thought about doing super single rims and tires?
  8. Welcome, that build will definitely mess with you. Check on the bench in the truck section, it will help you greatly. Im just about done with the same kit, stretched out freightliner cabover. Read the posts, there are some good tips that were posted to help me. Lots of good truck guys to help. Id be glad to help in any way i can, extra or replacement parts, never can tell what you might need, misplace, the dog might eat, whatever Again welcome and happy modeling
  9. Im gonna have to get a can of that. Its a bright, brilliant color. For some reason im having issues spraying enamels, but not lacquers, cant figure it out. Kinda same thing you ran into changing the colors. All my lacquer jobs come out great, no need to polish. But enamels, oh boy, it needs help.
  10. I use duplicolor clear. I mainly use duplicolor paints. There are a few of my builds on here that are metallic. I just put a few coats of clear and thats it. In drag racing section, my Big John Mazmanian willys is duplicolor metal specs with 4 coats of clear. In big truck section under glass my california hauler and revell pete in about 6 hours builds are same way. My stretched out freightliner cabover is black with a metallic 2nd color, 3 coats of clear, no polishing. Sorry ramble, hope it helps
  11. I was thinkin what kinda vehicles i could put with it. I really dont know what would be close. Guess model railroad stuff would be the closest.
  12. This company has really clean, show quality equipment. Roll backs, wreckers, land alls and rotators.
  13. Looks really good. Im really likin how that red came out.
  14. It has a decal that says class of '69. That might be the year of the truck
  15. Lookin really good. That wench looks awesome. Great job on the mudflaps
  16. Yes sir. I was lookin at pics of the parts. It is intimidating. This is definitely a kit your gonna want to keep track of the parts and be extremely careful to not loose something.
  17. The company i just switched to has trucks just like your next project. Day KW T800 cab dump trucks.
  18. Cliff is 100% correct. The gold bulldog is 100% mack.
  19. Ive been told to use a laquer base, since alclad is ready to spray out of the bottle. Its a laquer base itself. Ive been askin that same ? and this seems to be the most common answer
  20. Very true. I cant imagine how much it cost to tool this up. Its pretty safe to say it was more than a '57 chevy.
  21. HAHAHA. Do what, you gotta do my friend. Im guilty of it. Ive spent 99 cents and ive spent 25.
  22. I said the same thing Chuck, when i seen sittin on the shelf at my LHS
  23. I know most on this thread are car guys. But i saw this today. This company has a really nice fleet of wreckers, roll backs and rotators
