Afternoon gang. I plan on attending the Detroit show this weekend and would like to bring my completed M1008 to show off / get constructive criticism. Problem is,is that I am a car show virgin. I haven't the foggiest idea what to do. Do I just show up with the build? Or do I register for a spot on a table. Not trying to be a noob, just need some friendly direction from the group. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Scott "Rock Action" Asheton , drummer for Ann Arbor's own Psychedelic Stooges , passed away at age 64 on 15th March : http://www.cnn.com/2014/03/17/showbiz/music/obit-stooges-scott-asheton-dies/ Still kicking myself for missing out on their 2007 L.A. tour . That was the last show of theirs in the Los Angeles area with both of the Asheton brothers ( Ronnie Asheton , Scott's older brother , was the Stooges' original guitarist ; he passed away in 2009 ) . I've long dreaded the days when all of my favourite artists would pass on ; today I'm realising my fears . From Andy Warhol in 1987 , to Scott Asheton , and eveyone in between , the days have come . Rest In Peace , Scottie ! Photo of the "Dum Dum Boys" in action at Rodney "Mayor of the Sunset Strip" Bingenheimer's English Disco , c.1974.

The CMT White Freightliner photo etch set sent me speeding down this path. I wanted to build something Detroit powered for a change, and what better combination that a Sliver 92 and a WFL cabover. The radiator and grille from CMT. The Stabilaire suspension from Italeri was narrowed about 2 mm to fit the 1/25th frame. Out board exhaust and dual air cleaners were added. The interior was converted to a platform style, and 150 gallon tanks were fashioned. Some srap box exhaust give a preview in the mock up photos. The headlights were lowered, the front axle was moved forward on the springs about 3 mm, the wheel arch reshaped, a front crossmember/radiator support was made, and a corrected visor and mounting bracket were added. Thank you for taking the time to look, Mark.
