Pat this is going to fit right into your collection of trucks.
If I find a spot to put it. Space is getting scarce.😟

A Cry in the Night by Mary Higgins Clark. Rated as mystery but spooky enough. I enjoyed it.

Around 1959, my uncle gave me 5 WW2 fighters for Christmas. I have no idea what scale they were. there was a Spitfire, a Zero, a Messerschmitt, a Mustang and another one which eludes me. Those were the very first. Later I got a 1939/40 Ford kit which I painted red with black fenders as one of my mom's brothers had a 48 Chevrolet red with black fenders.

Looking really good so far! If I might make a suggestion, can those Firestone Supremes and get either some Firestone Deluxe Champions, some old Trophy Series tires. They will not only look more authentic to the car, but will also be a heck of a lot easier to paint whitewalls on.
This one is wearing the Deluxe Champions. They were commonly used in the AMT/Ertl issue kits. The skirts are cut-down 49 Merc units.
Beautiful model. I thinned out y paint and gave them a once over. they turned out not too bad.
I did have a 49 Merc. It had donated its hind quarters to the couch. However i can't find the rest of it. Shame on me for throwing away something with "potential".

Pat, I'd try using a set of skirts from an AMT '57 T-bird. Looks like they should fit, have the right curves at the bottom and look right with a bit of filing and sanding.
Looks great so far, BTW.
Hi Steve, I don't have a '57 T=Bird. So they'll likely havee to be scratchbuilt.

Added a spacer to the spare to center the '32 rim.
Rick's wheels wil work out fine. I have to do something about those whitewalls though.
And we have primer.

Work continues on the continental kit extension.
Thanks to a gift from fellow member Tarheel Rick, I have the proper wheels. I'll use a '32 wheel for the spare.

The chrome rocker moldings should be easily made from some thin flat stock plastic. The larger upright partr on the front fenders were a separate part as I recall but they did butt up against each other. Looks like you have the continental kit figured out.
Yes, it shouldn't be too difficult toi make out of flat stock.

Looking at ways of making the splah pan/bumper extension. First in cardboard, then in plastic.
This molding isn't in the kit either. It should be fairly easy to replicate.

I had totally forgotten about it until a few weeks ago. It is next after the current one.

Looks like it will work. I must remember to score the inside to show the shutlines.
