My problem with the DTM kits was the glass. The side windows were warped and so was a front windshield. Couldn't get them straightened out with hot water. Revell was good enough to send some replacements but I recall one of the side windows were again warped. I agree the kits rival Tamiya in quality but just don't want to press my luck with another frustrating batch of warped parts.

I can't comment on the problems with your particular kits but I have noticed many recent Revell of Germany kits I've bought have warp issues. The DTM cars, a Porsche, and a couple of others. Bodies and windows were a couple I can remember right now. I have no idea why it seems to just be the Revell of Germany kits but I'm not buying anymore because of this.

Good point. It was just selfish thinking on my part as I think the V8 Supercars put on such exciting races that everyone would share in my views.

I know I'd buy a bunch. Revell Germany did many DTM cars so why not Australian V8 cars? Just as popular I would think.

I couldn't remember what channel had it but NBCSN was probably the one I caught the highlights on each year. Seemed they had it on at 11pm Pacific time each night so I'd just record it and watch the next day. Such a great event!

I lost the front bumper from a '61 Ford Starliner. A huge chrome bumper. My workbench is in the garage and I have a pretty clean garage so looking on the floor in the area was easy. Spent days looking around and in boxes on the bench but never found it. How does something that big and chrome just disappear? Luckily I was building a circle track car so ended up substituting another bumper but still would like to have the mystery solved.

It's good to read I'm not the only one who strikes out at garage sales, etc. Years ago I used to go to those neighborhood garage sales but don't waste my time anymore. I encountered too many people as described above that think they're going to get rich selling some model kits or forgot what "garage sales" were originally intended to be. Flea markets or swap meets are just as bad. I never understood how the seller could possible know the actual price he wants on every single kit he has when the price isn't on it. You've really memorized all 100 or so kits prices in your head?! Maybe you should be doing something more productive with that kind of brain power. We had a neighborhood garage sale some years ago and I had about 30 kits all priced at $5. Never sold any of them.
