TALES FROM THE STYRENE CRYPT
matador88 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
sometimes, when i have very strong drive to build something, but something (at least my own laziness) keeps me off the bench i also have it stongly "on my mind" also during the night. it is always "only" state of mind and mans psyche what brings situations like you describe. what i can recommend to help for healthy strong sleep is tea from balm herbs before going to bed. but the best is to stay calm, cool, relaxed in general.. -
i`ve seen that diorama live just 2 days ago. it was in contest in hungarian contest in moson (mosonmagyarovar - moson model show - the biggest and best model contest/show at least in east and middle europe). the vegas theme is interesting topic for me as i got married there and been there twice but i dont have anything vegas related.

Cool Way of Keeping Your Airbrush Clean
matador88 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
old idea, but what about loosing fitting of the seals (like built-in badger seals) and other parts fit using this way? -

matador88 replied to Chuck Most's topic in WIP: Model Cars
hey, i`ve seen one real trabant cruising the street last saturday and this topic immediately came to my mind :> you can really see one on the street sometimes here.. of course, not "so special" like in your bulid.. -
NICE! very nice. the only small detail i dont like is that pinup lady decal, but its just the matter of personal view. man, Id like to view your display with all that gems together..

very nice build! maybe you could tell us something more about them. what kits were used, decals, aftermarket parts, bodies, scratched parts etc. ?
-

nice to see someone from other side of planet knows that details. i just add that even T603 was replaced by T613 earlier i was born i know T603 from streets. and it was not "normal" cas (T613 is the same). you couldnt buy it. it was made for politicians and directors of comapnies and factories like luxury car.

matador88 replied to David Thibodeau's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
well. lets see what the real stance will be. i hate toyish stance on many current models. -
please note this car is NOT soviet / russian! tatra is company from czech republic. during production of this vehicle it was czechoslovakian company. http://en.wikipedia....Tatra_(company)

what about getting Ford LTL 9000 ?
matador88 replied to matador88's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
is this rebuilt just matter of adding some (resin?) 5th hitch and thats all? i am not experienced in such type of builds, so asking.. -
it looks like i am officially in love with ford ltl 9000 now. but the kit is not available anywhere (italeri, revell - ebay /com, ca, uk, de, at, au/, online shops..) but i can get the wrecker version. and its for normal price (about 50€). but i dont like wrecker. so are there any possibilities for conversion, rebuild, parts...? how challenging it would be? how expensive? and is it worth it? isnt waiting for reissue, ebay, or flea market better option? plus i`ve heard its not one of the best quality model and building is not too easy. ideas guys? thanks.
