  6. actually i got them from E-slotcar.com and i took slot car wheels and put them inside the revel prostck t-bird tires. these are the wheels http://www.e-slotcar.com/shop/style-j-magnum/pro-track-1-116-x-332-x-500-wide-style-j-black-ptc-n407j-bl/ i have to do another set for the nova so when i do those ill show a step by step of what i did for the other tires yeah i definitely understand attention to detail is definitely a big thing.. im just used to working on the 1:1 stuff haha so this little bitty stuff i over look some things this was a motor i built for my old 2003 twin turbo mustang. all the pullies you see were cnc'd by my father this was the car.. everything was built for over a 1000rwhp and these are the new toys just started working on this one
  7. Definitely would like to see a 2003-2004 cobra!
  8. Had to do a little slicing and dicing to get the chassis to fit properly
  9. Not as clean as most of yout can do but it's my first cage.
  10. Hey there john!
  11. started a thread of the 69 nova and 99 cobra drag cars im starting
  12. ....... all i have to say is......... wow!
  13. thank you! yeah i really couldnt find any to go off of other than slot cars.. so i figured id just build one that will look like my car once i start building it (the real one) although the motor may be different.. most likely a SBF with twins. and yeah its green putty and that now scares the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH out of me! haha! thank you very much! yeah i put the first layer on sanded it down then through another thin layer on and brought that down. this car will be gloss black soooooo hopefully everything is nice and clean haha
  14. Thank you I appreciate it very much!
  15. Thanks tubbs! I'll see if I can find something better to use.. also what type of glue do most of you guys use? Seems like some glues take forever to dry and have a nice bond.. like I was working on the nova the other day and the wing came off!
  16. @511nova I know one is a pro stock thunderbird. I forget the other. I'll look tonight @bookie yea both will be big tire cars. @devilsnake awesome thank you for the styrene info! Haha and I know I thought it would be funny since most people chevy swap a ford. Figured I'd ford swap a chevy @hacked thank you!
  17. started putting the rear wing on the nova and built struts for it the girlfriend like i said wants it to look like murder novas car from street outlaws so shes gettin flat black treatment this is how the car sits as of right now.. im waiting for some styrene rod to come in and i didnt know the size i should use to build the roll cage so i may have bought more sizes that i should have but i didnt know about this site till after the fact.. btw what size would that be? haha like i said im new to this whole thing.. so any tips and trick or anything you guys would like to advise me to do im all ears!
  18. well here is what i started with. a 99 cobra mustang and i started by making a custom howl hood since i couldnt find anyone who makes them for this car. and since i really dont know how to use styrene like a lot of you guys i just filled the bottom half with filler... hopefully i learn how to use this styrene sheet stuff better than i can now in the future. still needs a ton of work but im making some progress.. i really want to learn how some of you do such great detail work! here are the models together primed up.. like i said the mustang was still rough and the bumper needs some TLC to look correct. here is the motor im building for the nova.. had to cut down the intake manifold so i could get the hood to close.. btw its a cowl hood... the one on the car now isnt the hood that will be on the car. little preview of the mustang with the wheels in.. but the body was just resting on them
  19. Starting on my girlfriends and my car.. basically going to build what our real cars will be. She wants hers to be like murder nova from street outlaws. I'm new to all this so it's not nearly as nice as some of you guys out there can do.. but thought I'd give it a try. I can't seem to post pictures from my phone so I'll have to wait till I get home.
  20. What sized styrene rod do you use?
  21. may I ask how you hinged the doors? I'm new to all this and I'd like to do that!
  22. Was referred here by a friend.. Started building a couple models for me and the girlfriend. She wants a 69 nova drag car. And I'm building a 99-04 style mustang drag car.. hopefully I can learn some of your tricks to doing such good work
