  1. Hi Scott. The leather i have ist extremly difficult to get! it is only 0,2-0,6 mm (Metric) thin. Like paper and not cheap. But i think if a Modellkit kosts a many lot, than dont save with the Equipment who brings the real touch to my 1:8 scale Kits. If i see the nice after market pieces from Modell Motor Cars.....Oh my god! So awesome Parts for buy, and my wife is going to kill me if i can not resist....The Problem is when i ordering something from the USA, the shippment is very expensive and in Addition Comes Zoll (19%) in Germany. I Need to went to the Zoll (In Germany we call it so?) Office and pay. Its Stress.. It worth only if i order something beoutifull parts from there if the order is big. If it is a big order, its a very expensive order.... By the way, i try to make many thinks by my self scratch. But the parts from MMC are very nice......
  2. Uiii. I see the question with leather is not so easy. I think the idea with Olive oil is good! I test it on a Piece from my lether. And WOOOWWW! The Rolls SEATS ARE awesome!!! Looks so Fantastic!!! I have the Sedanca Rolls here. Thanks for your 1001 Tips! Niece to hear what the Pro's said.
  3. Hi friends. The first try from me to work with real lether on my Pochers. The back seat is okay. But the first front seat satisfied me not. I think it Looks not so, ähm, elegant? Can i let it so?......I considering to paint it in a tan yellow Color with Tamiya spray paint. What you thinking abaout it?
  4. No Prob. If you have no Problems with my perfect english, I (we) can serve.....
  5. Hi Fred. This Shelby (R.I.P. Caroll) is now in France available. A good friend of mine suplies me with the issues direct from France. Thats why I m a lucky and happy guy.
  6. Oh yes, you absolutly right. Alfas make a man ruin. In real and in 1:8..... But it is nice to drive and build. Okay, the blue F40 is okay , only a Little bit to......blue.
  7. Hi. For me ist to late. Now im a collector who like to build. But im not a collector who likes to make mony with it! My heart is with evry kit i have. will build my modells by my self if the time is right! I like it if i go to my storage and i can see what i have. Not "This car i must build, then i have no another one in my storage". You now what i mean? Your Spider is realy nice! Thumbs up for it! My Ferraris are ever Italien red. I dont know why, maybe i think a Ferrari MUST be red by my own. This is the only Color for a classic italian sports car for me. Hey guys. I only can Response: Sorry for my poor english. I hope if im here some times i can learn and have some practise. For my builds AND for my english..... Alex from ass cold Bavaria
  8. Uhhhh. Very nice kit, The Spider AND the Monza. This Spider is the one i really like to get. But i prefer the "Scuderia Ferrari" one. You can see it in my Avatar and nickname: Alfa Romeo is my Company!
  9. Ohhh. The Devil lime green Testa from my friend Yoda......Next time i go in my Basement i took some pics from my Testa. Promised! But this car is not finished. I have some many transkits and new Aluminium wheels for this Ferrari. I strippt the "Paint" of and paint it new in Italien red. he is currently not assembled and wait for build. I have so many Projects in 1:8 here......So much to do and so less time :-( If somebody wont i can take some pics from my "Basement storage" to statisfy some curiosity you may have ???
  10. Very nice car, awesome build. Respect!
  11. WOW Scott! There are SO MANY NICE CARS! I love it!!! Thats the kind of classic cars i prefer and love! And Scott, your nickname is very cool!
  12. Good news for me: My real lether has arrived. Nice, nice. lovley thin shape. Now i can begin the "Pull Over" from the Seats....I build my modells not in alphabetical order. I build what bring for me some pleasure. I will try to answer any question you have. No Problem. But im by my self no Profi. Got many things to learn. Regards from Bavaria, Alex
  13. Good morning other side of world. The Buggati i have was like a virgin. Only the engin was built and some parts from the Dashboard. Thats it. Nothing more. Im a lucky guy than usualy the Bugatti is very, very expensive (In german ebay for 2500,- Euro!!! CRAZY WORLD!), but i got him very cheap for best conditions ;-) The only Company i know is in Germany Tremonia who made own transkits. And they have only the cylinder-covers and a mesh for the grill as eatched parts. Modell Motor Cars is known. Michel j. Habich......well i see we are like Stalkers ;-) Nice to see you here my friend!
  14. Yes of corse. Thanx for this Point. The foil and the gloss, the gloss is from good old Tamyia, had no trouble together. I polish it a little bit and ready. Usually im also test it before i work with this componends.
  15. You so right, Scott. Now im really obsessioned from the big scale babes! Its simply a wonderfull Hobby we got. And about our wives, you are again right. I see, all People over the world have the same "Problems".... in my Basement wait two Testarossi for me....and a Mercedes Benz 500K Cabriolett, and...and ...oh my god. I Need a Doctor.... ;-)
  16. Here we go. The Dashboard gets the burl wooden finish. Glossy clear is over all. What do you think about?
  17. Hey Scott, take it easy. Youd'like to know how many nights i sleept on my Couch because my Pochers...... ;-)
  18. So looks my Display corner for my half ready Pochers..... The F40 is a restore Project in future. The Lambo finished, the Alfa Monza my second project in addition to my Bugatti (I build ever 2 or 3 kits in the same time, to fight some boring), My Long term project: The Famous, Incredible, Wonderfull, Pricless 1937' Mercedes Benz 540K Spezial Roadster total renovation from head to toe. I scratch the REAL 540K Spezial Roadster. Not the Pocher wannabe But it need a loooong time before this car is finish. And the Bugatti is acctualy here in the Workbench forum In Germany new started: The Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing. No matter that i buy this abo series. Also i get the Altaya 1967er Shelby GT500 as abo from France. A good friend of mine bring me the collection from France. Best regards from Germany, Alex
  19. First thank you all very much for your lovley comments..... I think the newer Pocher (Hornby Spain, not Italy) are a good Basic to tickle some awesome cars out of the kits, like the old Pocher kits. The newer kits have Maximum 860 parts, the older 1600-2100.....comparson is a Little bit dificult. The old have some great wiered wheels, mechanical components....my own opinion is they play not in the same league.Think about it that the old Pocher was 40 years old and that are all classics from the classics. I prefer the old kits and i have many from the old Im not saying that the new ones are bad. I only like classic cars more. The sadly truth is that in 1:8 are not many kits outside the world. And so i look to get what i can get. My biggest wish: a Ferrari 250GTO or 250 California in 1:8.....Oh my God. And for my American friends a surprise now. The Lambo get license plattes.....
  20. Good morning everybody. Thanx for the positive Feedback! This wooden Foil is self adhesive, yes. Its from a german manufacturer and it calls DC-Fix. The only, it is a Little thick. But with a hairdryer is work with it no Problem. If the Dashboard is ready with the foil, i will put 3-5 templates glossy clear for a homogene Surface and a real looking shine. The same i will do with the door Panels. I hope it Looks on the end so, how i imagine it. The yellow/black wire is a gift from a good friend of mine. He is so like Yoda, and im the Young Skywalker.....this wire is here in Germany very hard to become. The manufacturer who made this is no more available. And sorry, im not see that there is a extra site for the "BIG BOYS"...... Maybe a Admin can this move to the right place, please??? Alex
  21. Wow! This is the europen stuff i like! Great car, great model, great Interieur!
  22. my personal fav Color scheme is very classic. blue and black,Interieur with beige leather, burl Wood Panels.....an some many other "BlingBling" And yes, the Pochers are very nice and .....BIG! But some mechanical thinks, like functioning brake drums, are not feasible. There aro so many Diversion on the Chassis. if i like to tip the pedal for a break, maybe it brokes. I dont like to test it.....If i would it functioning i musst it built in metal, like bronze. thats to many wall up. The finish car stands in a Vitrine like the Aventador one. No touching, no playing, only looking..... Thanx for your interesst. Alex
  23. This german Aldi bag is my special kind of humor.... I could not resist me. I cant tell how many hours i need for this. It was about 4 moths and i work every day on it.
  24. So. Now ist up-to-date. Thats the stand of this challenge.....
