  1. I don't know how I missed this thread! Those are both beautiful builds of the Monogram kits. As for being crude you just have to work with what is available when you build something specialized like civilian AC. I converted my Tri-Pacer to the tail dragger Pacer variant with the N number of one of my uncle's Pacers.
  2. They are resin copies of the wheels in the 1/32 Japanese school bus kit from some years ago. RMR has resin kits of that bus with various American truck fronts. I just looked at their webpage and the wheels in their kits look different.
  3. Here is one I built using the Model King Racers Wedge, a resin cab and an AMT Snap Kit Chassis. And another in the works from an IMC Dodge L-700 and a lot of Evergreen stock. A very old build cut from a MPC Dodge van And the Galaxie 24" Tag-a-long with a GMC pulling. However none of these are as nice as the Studebaker setup!
  4. That is a very nice trailer! I have been wanting to do one like this for some time.
  5. What BigBad said + Get to know the "Word Art" feature in MS Word. It will let you do most of what you want. Also explore the many fonts that come with Word or that can be downloaded. White lettering is almost impossible but can be done with patience and "Dry Transfer" lettering from an art store or model railroad suppliers. Rub the letters on scrap clear decal paper and then apply them to the model. Do you know the colors that would be on the truck in your picture?
  6. You don't need the Testors program. You can use nearly any word processor. Set up a page that is 5.5 x 8.5 in. and find a font that is a match for the lettering you want. Type in the text you want and test print to check the size. Print and prepare the decals according to the instructions. Done. It seems to take the most time getting the size right.
  7. There used to be a 1/32 scale Japanese kit of a school bus that has some heavy duty dual wheels. I got several sets of resin repops some years ago that I have used with Satco tires on various projects. The last set went on my ramp truck. There are resin versions of the bus body out there but I have not seen the wheels.
  8. Nice save of a bunch of parts. The finished truck looks very good.
  9. Very kewt.
  10. Gorgeous save of an interesting car, love the color.
  11. Nice build of a once common daily driver.
  12. It is possible to make your own custom decals. I have used the Testors Decal Maker system with graphics created in MS Word, MS Paint, Word perfect and MS Publisher. I create an 8.5 x 5" page in Word and then lay out the text and graphics I want and print it on an inkjet photo printer. It takes some time but if no one else will do it.....
  13. A great start to a tow fleet. Keep the pictures coming
  14. I am putting one of those with a Dodge dually snap cab. So much you can do with it.
  15. Very nice truck build!
  16. My J10 on springs and axles from a 1/32 bigfoot snap. An original Hogans Heroes Jeep with a spring over axle lift. An 80 Ramcharger with a body lift.
  17. Those are almost exactly what I need. I think the centers with the lug nuts and hubs need to be recessed in so the lugs are set in below the ridge that is just outside of them. about the same level as the slots.
  18. Another outstanding build. Great lookin' wrecker
