  1. Ok, the engine is finished, just need details like dipstick, heater and radiator hoses, and of course spark plug wires. I have no idea if this is right or not but this what I have so far
  2. I actually decided to paint the pulleys gloss black and the belt flat black that way if I mess up it won't be too horribly noticeable.
  3. Alright I got all the turbo stuff on there now Step 3 is complete. I also decided to leave the aircleaner off on this one because it has a detailed four barrel carburetor Well this fan belt is going to be a pain to detail. Good lord this fan belt is weird. you cant see it on the camera but I already messed up really badly
  4. Ok, well its a small block so im going to go with the 305 wiring diagram for this engine The water pump actually came in two pieces, so I glued those then glued the water pump to the engine Well you're wrong about the 165HP on this engine, Notice I said this engine because it comes with two options, stock fuel injection, or a turbo charged setup. The way I see it, if KITT was the safest fastest car in the world (he is in the show) then I think he should have a turbo charged engine because that would make it go faster. Well so far this engine has made it two steps The boring steps. Now for step 3, making it a turbo charged engine.
  5. Oooooooooooooooooooooooh I like my shiny intake Ok finally I got step one complete also wanted to ask: can anyone take a guess at what size in Cubic Inches this engine is. Because I can;t wire the spark plug wires until I know so I can use a wiring diagram I will give you a hint Its a small block I can tell because the distributer is in the back on the instructions

  9. alright thanks Alright glue dried on the engine halfs, now time to paint it Ok here are the parts I will be gluing to the engine then painting Well I had to make the hole bigger in the oil pan so that it would fit good but now it won't stay on its own so I got a clothespin to the rescue
  10. I got this for my birthday at hobby lobby for 30 bucks. I also have some questions about it. Does anyone know what color KITT's engine was. the instructions say orange but my dad says trans am engines were black from the factory.
  11. Well this is my 1966 shelby ive been working on and its finally finished
  12. thanksguys, it is actually finished now so if you want to see more pics with no focus go to under glass
  13. well the radiator hose from the kit didn't fit due to my heater hose installation, so I got some black wire and kept cutting until it fit
  14. ok put the front bottom piece on, bumper on and even turn signals, she is street legal now. Just one thing missing RADIATOR HOSE
  15. ok, I painted the front bottom piece Gray because its a rat rod so not all of it is going to be original. Also added rust to the front bottom piece It sticks out again so we have have more sanding on our hands
  16. WhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is 90% street Legal
  17. You can't really see it but the stripes are faded out and there, also decided to do a rust job on it, notice the difference? wanna know the secret to rusting a model car? Well you simply paint the car the same body color and while it's still wet you sprinkle some GROUND CINNAMON on it and let dry, now you will have a rust bucket ready for showing off!
  18. I hate these decals they came right off when I tried to sprinkle some black paint to make it look chipped, so I decided to do it myself. I know it looks sloppy now but when I put the black paint on it it might look official
  19. alright got the usual rust affect going on the grille
  20. Well shes almost street legal got the reverse lights in i painted the grille and smeraed it and I think it looks pretty real
  21. Alright! got a rusty bumper from the good ol junkyard
  22. well that rear piece sticks out due to the extra strip of plastic i had to put in to make the trunk, so I am going to sand it a little bit, paint it flat black, then rust it to cover up my horrible job Oky Doky I got the body work done tell me if you can see the difference
  23. ok put the rear bottom piece on the mustang
  24. more pictures of rear piece the second one with flat black paint sprinkled on it to make it look chipped paint
