  1. Randy had told me that we would have the slot car track to use, but there are trains running around it now. I think we will be able to set up some stuff on the glass display cases. I wouldn't bring more than 3 or 4. The scratch and dent order did come in, but there wasn't really any open kits, mostly new sealed with damaged boxes. There were SEVERAL of the new 50 Chevy truck, Jungle Jim Vega and some others that I can't recall on the shelf. All are priced at $9.99 and $10.99 each. Great price if you ask me.
  2. Still noon George. See you there!
  3. GREAT NEWS GUYS!!!! Randy informed me today that the next scratch & dent order will be in on the 16th!! He said he will set it back for us first. Bring your money guys!!!
  4. Roger, did you see the notice about the meeting in Champaign? December 18 at Slot & Wing. Noon til ?.
  5. 18th it is then. I will let Randy know this week. Thanks guys!
  6. Probably a good chance of that Steve.
  7. Guys, looks like I personally won't be able to be there for the meeting. Forgot about a youth event that Sunday. If you'd like we can move it to the 18th. Let me know your thoughts. Sorry for the mixup.
  8. Bring your money George! Most all 1/24 and 1/25 kits are $9.99 & $10.99. Some boxes are banged up, but still sealed and not damaged inside. Pretty decent variety now, too. May be some scratch & dent by then, too.
  9. Slot & Wing Hobbies on Prospect Avenue in Champaign. It's just North of I74 on the East side of the road. It's behind Advance Auto Parts. Really cool little hobby shop. I do WAY TOO MUCH business there. Randy, Chad and Cole are great guys. I've been dealing with the company for nearly 25 years.
  10. Store opens at noon, so any time after that. I'll be in town a little before that.
  11. The meeting for December 4th is a go at Slot & Wing. Randy has no problem with us coming in. We will be setting up just inside the door on the large slot car track. Little crowded, but should be a fun day.
  12. Guys, I'm going to see Randy @ Slot & Wing tomorrow or Wednesday. Plan is to have our get together there on the first Sunday of December (4th I think). Let me know your thoughts.
  13. Roger, Kerry, George, Joe, great to see you all again today. Saw some great stuff again today. I'm going to try to get something set up at Slot & Wing in the first or second week of December. Hope you all can make it.
  14. Oct 2 Joe. He put it in the title, not the message.
  15. Thanks guys. Dremel no longer has the shaft I need, so hopefully someone will.
  16. Anbody happen to have any spare Dremel tool parts laying around? I'm looking for the shaft that goes out to the collett on the end. I got the replacement coupler and now can't find the end.
  17. Thanks for the pic of m "Power Play"! Was really nice meeting everyone and seeing some REALLY nice stuff. I forgot to ask you today about the decal film you use with the Testors system. Do you just use the sheet size that comes with the kit or do you get something else?
  18. Barring any problems I will be there. Anone looking for some spray cans? Planning to bring some to sell.
  19. Sure is Chuck. Really nice piece in my opinion.
  20. Just got ahold of a new Minicraft Orange "Peel" 1/16 Model A truck kit. WOW! This is really nice! I see where they normally sell for around $60. Got mine in a deal with the LHS for less than $20. Really nice kit.
  21. Guess I'm lucky. My LHS sold me mine for $69. No freight, no wait. If anyone is interested, there is a photo of the new Maxxforce 15 in the most recent issue of Overdrive magazine. www.overdriveonline.com
  22. That's the one. My box is in excellent shape except for about a 1/8" hole drilled in the top right corner. Is this kit from '68? I can't find a copyright date anwhere.
  23. I don't have any pictures. Not very good at getting them done and in here. It looks kinda funky with dual exhaust goin down the sides very high up, not far below the seat. It's molded in a really rich blue. Best thing about all of the kits is they are all complete with very nice chrome and clear parts. I am most proud of the 'Cuda as I really like that '68 body style. Now the decision comes whether to build or store away.
  24. Went to a household auction today to look at stuff and stumbled on a few old Revell, MPC and AMT kits. Stayed around ALL day to see if they went for a price I could afford. Bought a 1968 MPC Barracuda #268-200 for $13. Complete, except decals, unstarted. It says "Psychedelic Auto Art Decal" on the box. Also picked up an AMT 36 Ford Customizer kit, Revell Kawasaki Mach III 1/8 scale bike #H1228, Yamaha Scrambler 350 1/8 bike #H1220, Revell '60 Corvette #H1203 sealed in the box, Monogram Wildcat F4F plane sealed in the box. All except those two are opened, but all there. Got all of those for only $20!! Don't think I did too bad for going to look at other stuff that, by the way, I didn't even buy!
