  1. Thank you kindly!
  2. Just stopped at Harbor Freight to pick up a pin vise and teeny drill bit set, and came across a gravity fed (4 oz. cup) spray gun for $14.99. It'll be a while before I can try it out, but for $14.99, I figure it'd be worth a try.
  3. Just bought the Revell '56 Nomad and the front bumper and pan seems to stick out farther than it does on the 1:1 Nomads. Anybody know the fix to this?
  4. After extensively checking out the site, and all the beautiful work, I just wanted to say what a great site this is. My son (the Red Ranger) and I have been out of the hobby for 10 years, and just rekindled the interest when going through our stored models, to find couple to put in my office. We hit the LHS and were impressed by the new stuff that is being offered now, plus some of the builds we have seen on this site, along with the friendliness and helpfulness of the folks on this site. Now we are back with a fever! I'll be posting pics of my old builds in the next week or so. Thanks for the great site!
  5. Totally Sweet!
  6. Very nice, indeed!
  7. WOW! That's just fantastic! Nice job, I know you gotta be proud!
  8. Thanks to all for the very kind compliments. It's a nice welcome back to the hobby! My youngest son and I spent part of the morning digging out our model stuff, and I found a couple better pics of "Trixie".
  9. It was in Scale Auto Enthusiast Annual about 10 or 11 years ago. Showed it in 3 or 4 different shows and brought home the gold each time. The front end swap was actually not all that tough. The body lines matched up fairly well. I was a sophomore in high school, when I first saw the 1:1 version. The guy that owned it was a senior in auto shop. At that time he told me that it was a pretty straight forward bolt on job. It was my favorite of all the great cars that cruised our town. So, it was only natural that I build mine exactly like the 1:1 down to the Cragar SS mags.
  10. Howdy all! Getting back into building after a 10 year hiatus. Thought I'd post a pic of one of my builds that was inspired by the real thing, that used to cruise our town in NE Ohio.
