  1. Would that be the approximately 1/20th scale Sizzler of yesteryear ? Or , the 1/25th scale "Slingster" ?
  2. Not everything, but quite entertaining http://www.boxartden.com/gallery/index.php/Boxart-Collection
  3. This is the General section.
  4. Just click up the photo above to enlarge to a view good enough to be real (1:1)
  5. Have you considered trading with someone here on the board? Custom parts (engine) for stock? Why limit your building experience by something easily fixed?
  6. First up. Next. When ? Back in the day. 1964.
  7. some stuff here, http://www.modelwork.pl/viewtopic.php?p=556939
  8. Yeeee Haaaaa !!! Oooops, wrong movie.
  9. and this year it still looks "Killer'. Now this is "STANCE". and "Multi Carbed" too (six?)
  10. but let's not get too far ahead of our own selves. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101327 one might be confused as a "COLLECTOR".
  11. Yeah , me too. and before the mods find this, http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=100648&hl=
  12. and there you have it. Pretty much where we're all at. Just don't let your kits run you out of your home, relationship, life.
  13. Maybe this would be a little easier? But until the OP answers some of the questions , who knows?
  14. Some of these Pre-Painted kits are a good start.
  15. I didn't open the bags inside. Just tried to look through. Must of missed it. Did see the injector set up though.
  16. Funny thing, i know a bunch of people with a bunch of kits and they build few and far between. But to a man none of them would consider themselves "Kit Collectors".
  17. So, maybe one of these ?
  18. These , however, do.
  19. None of these have the dropped axle in them.
  20. Just opened a sealed kit. It's not there. It is , however in the instructions, listing / showing it as a plated part. I also checked out this kit, pretty much the same. The similar funny car style headers are indeed from the older '55 Nomad kit. It looks like they intended in including those parts but only put in part of the chrome tree. AMT Historians ?
  21. I think the confusion comes from the similar funny car style headers
  22. Thanks Snake, I was aware of that. The other two are the ones that would turn my prop.
  23. As Art pointed out, it's just the nature of the hobby. At this point, I don't think anyone really knows how or why many of us have such over abundant "collections" ( for lack of a better word Jonathan ). I remember even as a young lad some time around 1957, as we had just moved to England, my Mom had decreed, " No more 'new' models till you finish what you already have." I can remember a Lindberg X-3 being one of those kits. A big deal as we had just come from Edwards AFB. And as Art said; saving up the fifty cents ( I remember that as well, 2 weeks worth of lunch money) to buy a Comet B-45 kit from a friend (?) at school. Had to have what was flying on base at the time. in 47th Bomb Wing colors, same as the base, can't beat that. Just thought of something else, getting the ill gotten gains into the house. Being 1/87th scale , not too hard. Same as now. The next "Gotta have" kit was also from Comet, their B-66. After all the 47th was converting. Looking at the box art, this aircraft was probably just coming our way from Hurlbert field in Florida.
