  2. In the '50's and '60's being overseas the Sears and Wards catalogs were it.. Good luck talking yer Mom into ordering any models though,"You need new Pants!" Well, at least we could dream.
  3. John the Buzzard mentioned this one. Gasser only no stock version. Fun build if you can find one.

  6. can you show us the instructions ? I didn't know that, sounds interesting.
  7. Steven Wade Guthmiller, Bee you tee fold build. Nice job. Looks like you over came what ever obstacles were in the box.

  9. Review (another "New Tool" version) : http://blog.modeljunkyard.com/2013/06/16/kit-review-125-57-chevy-bel-air-coupe-by-amt/
  10. One more the older 1/16th scale AMT kit. Again BIG, not as big, but still "toy like"
  11. A few points on the Monogram 1/12th kits. They are BIG . So you better have some display space. They do build up looking very nice on the out side, but in my opinion, they are very "toy like" everywhere else.
  12. In my opinion, these are rather toy like and clunky.
  13. Here's another you can't go wrong with.
  14. For a beginner, I hear this one is hard to beat.
  15. Then the Vodoo Kit from Hell , the first Revell '57 Chevy, more opening moving, operating, posing parts than you can shake the proverbially stick at.
  16. The second issue, often referred to as the "New Tool" version ( actually originally issued some time ago) had the open trunk. Identifying which you have can be daunting at times as they have both be reissued many times and overlapping. New tool
  17. I think there may be some to confusion as to the fact that there were actually two AMT 1/25th '57 Chevy Bel Airs. The first issue, above with the blue and red cars being a 3 in 1 kit build able as stock, race and with many styled parts a custom. also many single version reissues, with and without the custom parts.
  18. never did care for his style.
