  1. I don't get the last one. http://www.buzzfeed.com/jamiejones/19-drivers-who-pimped-their-car-way-way-too-hard#.xn8bj7lROb
  2. Aaah, as a service brat I was awakened many a night to the sounds of radial recips being run up. .
  3. OK, who's going to carve up one of those hard tops for us ? For a plug in a resin mold.
  4. Looking at post # 1 and # 2 I don't see it. and post # 2 , the older instruction sheet actually has a multi lingual presentation of sorts both on one page. I think they can fit just about what they want on a page and space has no bounds.
  5. "Off date" not every month. I'm old , get confused easily.

  7. Yes, same group.
  8. Thanks for the heads up, ya gotta love all of these "off date" issues. Guess I could subscribe.
  9. Good, nice shinny paint, but still, diecast, big chunky hinges etc. I've built the Tee Bucket and the Duece Highboy. Both as nice as any plastic kit, with a few building options,
  10. Yea nothing like putting stuff on a different page. Just a big chart, I'll read that.
  11. How about some dialog ? This is from the original Monogram Sizzler ( not the new release Slingster http://manuals.hobbico.com/rmx/85-4997.pdf ). But back then, Reading was fundamental.
  12. . . . when the instructions were educational. Not today. Just what are all those parts ? Just pictures and numbers.
  13. Forgot to mention, metal bodies I.E. diecast.
  14. Like Rob said, not bad for a shelf model, easy build, nice results. Testors had a bunch of different kits along these lines.
  15. " Whatever turns your crank. "
  16. Yes it's big, 1/16th scale, but a great kit. http://www.model-making.eu/products/Volkswagen-VW-K-fer-1951-1952.html
  17. and just so you don't think my friend Tommy's car is a week end cruiser. 540 Big Block Chevy, powerglide, 4:30 gears and a 9:74 @ 130 MPH in the quarter.
  18. I still say, to the average builder, that has never seen a DB4 in person, and even if he has probably doesn't remember much about it aside from the WOW ! factor, the Aurora / Monogram kits will do just fine. An easy, fun build yielding a passable DB4 kit for your display .Beyond that most of your friends wont know any of what has been discussed here. If you don't tell them , they wont know. You have fun building the model and your friends are awed at your model building prowess.
  19. Good idea.
