  1. Really not what this thread is about, just an example, but that shows yer thinkin'.
  2. Yes "Snake" that's what i had in mind. With all the computer copying , drawing, 3d printing we should be able to resurrect some of those old long lost kits. Now to the naysayers, yeah, it will cost to do it, everything does. Nick I have a freind too, that has a bunch of those kits, maybe one day we'll get together, $$$.
  3. Now I'm really confused. Just found this thread ; http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/?showtopic=49669 administrators / moderators , please don't combine this thread with the one we are already on.
  4. How does one differentiate between the "Good" Revell kits and the "bad" ? I know their first shot was a rerelease of the Monogram rereleas of the Aurora kits. First kit (Aurora) second, Monogram Revell's , and they even copy the Aurora box art Then the "New, even more improved" Revell kits, how does one identify these kits ?
  5. As long as we're getting our money's worth, how about some AMT "Racing Teams" ?
  6. OK, I'm in, let's play this game, put me down for some good ol' AMT double kits.
  7. Why not ? and beat Revell to the table with a '29 Roadster as well.
  8. So what is out there for those of us that haven't touched any of these( I do have a few in the ol stash). Are ALL of the Revell, Monogram, Aurora 1/25th kits the same? Regardless of the mismash 1/24th - 1/25th box top call outs ?
  9. I know its too early to start in on the derivatives, but Mr. Obsessive sure did a nice job on one of these.
  10. Boy that looks like fun double the weight on the opposite side, fun balancing it.
  11. and here's one with everything going for it.
  12. Thanks, Scott. I come across these things and say " Hmmm. The guys on MCM would like this."
  13. Where does he get this stuff ? http://www.spannerhead.com/category/technical/page/3/ lots of Datsun Z stuff, but the first page is too good to pass up.
  14. Nice art work, did you do that your own self Bill ?
  15. Any of these kits would do much better. In my opinion, of course.
  16. The Pratt & Whitney R-4360 Wasp Major, the largest mass-produced aircraft piston engine ever made. A 28-cylinder, 71-liter, air-cooled radial monster, the ultimate incarnation—the “51VDT”—could deliver a staggering 4,300 hp.
  17. Mostly late night run ups. Only knew what they were because you knew what flew out of the base you were on. Lots of jets, too.
