  1. A bunch of cry babies ? Never satisfied ? I see three people out of twelve that voice an opinion about a kit that they all obviously like, each admitting to having several in their collection. Yes there are flaws in some kits and yes we may wish these same kits could be better. I'd say Kevin, Nick and Joe have been around this board awhile and are entitled to their opinion.
  2. Often manufactures of just about any product will successfully piggyback or slingshot off their competitors with a similar product. With the, dare I say successful, reissue of AMT's (Round2) Double Dragster kit ( both regular and in a tin, who woulda thought?) it just seems to me that Revell has cash in the bank with these three double kits.
  3. Still, ya gotta love those decal kits (same kit, same wheels, same engine, same . . . just change the decals).
  4. Do you think any of those differences would show on a 1/25th scale model car ?
  5. I'd like to hear this one. It seems like a no brainer. Especially with AMT (Round 2) Double dragster hit and in a tin no less.
  6. Yeah, but how much does that phone in the other pocket cost ?
  7. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and teachers. You might even throw in Scout leaders as well. Come on you guys, you can do it. I did.
  8. Rob, you're a teacher. You have the ability to introduce a younger generation to the hobby. I taught for eight years. I had a model aircraft club a model car club and a Hot Rod club. It can be done, and you will be surprised at the turn out and interest. Yes, I'd stay away from the rockets, tried that once the year I taught Jr High.
  9. "But I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now."
  10. I don't see any Daytonas in there
  11. Actually three different kits The first was the proto type with no hood thingies or no hood scoop. The second was the Nassau version with the Revell type scoop The third was the one with the fidilly finned type scoop (the Revell reissue) At some point there was a correction (second version [of which kit ?]) to fix bodymount vs engine fit issues.

  14. Yeah, I think that's going in a tee roadster from another parts pack. Thanks again Jonathan.
  15. I like what I see but it looks like some one picks a subject and any one interested just chimes in with pictures, Ideas, talk, or what ever. Is it like a contest? Is there a time limit ? Help me out here it really looks interesting.

  19. I would venture a guess they're quite a few , dare I say "older" modelers here that would be glad to help out a younger, up and coming modeler, such as your self. The point being, you need to be more specific on what you are looking for.
  20. ain't no Grand Sport, the white kit does have some GS parts.
  21. No, it ain't this one :
  22. Posters I can believe, car models . . .
  23. Okay, I looked. Sounds like a great idea. However what i noticed was a lot of talk and not much building.
