  1. Ok, heres some pics. Wouldve been uploaded sooner, but the camera was dead.
  2. Hey guys, I have noticed a lack of aftermarket wheels for us pickup truck builders, so I went through my wheels to see what I had for 3/4-1 Ton trucks. Found out I have 4 styles of wheels. I am thinking about having a quality caster cast them and make them available and need to know if there is a market for them. Here they are, so please view and vote, and if wanted, please comment. Thank You. PS: The tires are for display purposes only. #1 & #2: Large and Small Turbine wheel #3 & #4: Mickey Thompson Style 8 Hole and Aluminum Slot wheel.
  3. Small update, got the engine assembled and painted black like the 1:1 had. While it may not be totally correct, it is for the truck. I will post pictures of the mostly built engine this evening.
  4. It's my favorite too. I have always thought they looked mean. Mine sure did going down the road at night with all my lights on. I had chicken lights on it. Trust me, its gonna get sweeter by the time it's done.
  5. I know, I wish they would re-release them too, I would buy a case of them at least. Yes, I have thought about that, and I'm looking for a caster right now, just trying to find one that I feel would do it justice so it doesnt end up like the ebay one (which I have and have comparison shots of in the link below) Trust me, there will be plenty more pics to come. http://s1138.photobucket.com/albums/n524/JohnnyDodger91/My%20Bed%20vs%20Resin%20Bed/
  6. And finally the 1:1. Istead of posting a ton of pics, I'll post my YouTube video.
  7. Then I proceeded to correct the frame for the added length of the longbed. Made the parts from styrene that happened to match the frame when doubled up. My next project on this was the dash. Somewhere in between the the last time I had done anything with it and now, it had disappeared, luckily I had a second dash in my parts box. I redid the dash to look like the 81-87 truck dash or the 81-91 Suburban and Blazer dash. And finally a mockup with the new wheels and tires.
  8. Then after the first of the year, I pulled it out and did the LWB conversion. Thank you Mr. Chevelle for the second bed and thanks to Terry Jesse for his great tutorial. Terry Jesse's Longbed Conversion Tutorial Work started on the conversion. Finished the bed, and mockup.
  9. Hey guys, this is a project that I started about 3 years ago. I started with an 84 GMC kit minus all the 4x4 parts. I cleaned the cab up, found the correct grille, corrected the dash, working on correcting the door panels. Then this project sat dormant for about a year and a half, until a fellow member here, send me the second bed I needed for the LWB conversion. For this I used the tutorial from Terry Jesse. For the suspension up front, though it may not be correct, I stole it from a Lil Red Express that I got from another member here, since mine was a 2 wheel drive. I got to looking through my wheel box and I found a set of aluminum style mag wheels that are 8 lug, fitting for a 3/4-1 ton truck, and decided to use them. I think this truck is coming along really well, and the 1:1 would be very happy to see this being built. Well, enough blabbering, on with the pics. Here it is when I first got the resin grille for it. Thank you Cargostar. Start of the doorpanel correction, corrected tailgate band, painted grille, and front bumper (found a chrome one to replace painted one) First attempt at correct dash. Another body mockup. Then it sat dormant in a box for a while.
  10. Its asking me to login.
  11. Hello everybody, I have a problem. I am building a replica of a vehicle I owned and it had 24" glasspacks on it. How can I replicate these in scale? Thanks Benjamin.
  12. If I can get the right parts and pieces, count me in for the Death Proof Nova.
  13. George, Im on the north side of Peoria by about an hour. But, if I remember correctly, it was yours, Envious, and 1320Wayne's dios that made me want to do a big diorama. Bracing and that I have no problem with as I have a bunch of wood left out in the garage that I can make braces out of.
  14. Highway, this is off subject, but can you send me a couple pics of how your guide posts on your truck are wired and mounted? I have some that I want to put on mine.
  15. Well, I figured I would give my phone's camera a shot to at least show where Im at. And the logo Im trying to find someone to turn into a decal for me.
  16. Heres my workbench. Workbench A.K.A "The Chop Shop" by my friends in the local model club. And my stash, small compared to most, but Im working on it.
  17. I tried using my Photobucket and half of my pics arent showing even on Photobucket's site. Are they having problems or is it my computer? Am I the only one thats having these problems?
  18. Im needing the chrome front for my model and cant seem to find one.
  19. Nick, the stock chrome bumper hasnt been in the 2 kits Ive got, the 454SS and the USA-1.
  20. Chis, thats quite a collection of Chevys. May I ask where you got the chrome bumpers?
  21. The main idea for my diorama is a repurposed commercial garage/body shop, that the owner will use to work on his own projects (he has lots of them). I may change the size when I lay it out on the plywood, but I have it sketched off in 3 general areas: Office, General Shop, and Body & Paint. I do know that I want it to still be large enough to pull my semi into and work on it. The base is going to be big because it will not only have the building, but a parking lot, a dead end commercial street, and a fenced off vehicle storage area. This diorama will not be moved very often as when I get done it wont be coming out of the basement. It will be for me only and mainly used for pics and showing to friends. I will try to scan the layout and post it on here tonight. Thanks Benjamin.
  22. Hello all, as some of you may know, Im planning out my first diorama. I have a floorplat/blueprint made with wall lengths on it, which the biggest part of the building is 28"x35" with a 14"x20" section cut out of one corner. I am planning on using a base of 1/2" thick plywood cut down to 40"x60". This is as far as I have gotten, and dont really know what to do next other than buy the wood and lay it out with the actual dimensions I planned for on paper. Any help is greatly appreciated. BTW, the diorama will be in 1/24-1/25 scale. Thanks Benjamin.
  23. Its not Saturday yet, but mine will still look like this on Saturday. Im waiting on some projects and dont want to start others until theyre here.
  24. My suggestion is that you slope the driveway across the sidewalk all the way up to the door. Other than that, it looks great.
  25. I would love to see 1/12 scale parts. Wheels, tires, engines, steering wheels, body parts, different frames, aftermarket decals, custom pieces, transmissions, carbs, air cleaners, spoilers. Have I made myself clear?
