Juergen, might I say that this build is totally awesome. Old Jack Daniels himself would be proud to have that truck in his delivery fleet. Your diorama is looking great. Love the idea of the drywall, I never wouldve thought of it. May I offer a small suggestion for the drive from the road to the door across the sidewalk?

This build is looking incredible and is the push that is helping me plan my own diorama out. I have a question though. What did you use for the asphalt driveway?

Bill, any updates on this?

Kenworth k123 w/ drom box
BigBlockLyle replied to drinkone2's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Great job. I always liked these in red and white. BTW, what is a drom box and what is it used for? -
Highway, it's gonna be Christmas Day or the day after before I can get pics. I've been told I'm getting a new camera for Christmas.

Hey artists, I was wondering if I could get a rendering, sketch, drawing, 3d model, etc of a 2000 and up Ranger with a blend of Ranger and Super Duty with the King Ranch package. I've had the idea in my head but cant get it onto paper. Any help or input is appreciated. Thanks

I have the correct hood from a LRE I will trade you for your incorrect hood as I need the raised hood instead of the depressed hood.

Think I'd be able to get in on this one? I have a Pete 359 that I'm building. All that has been done is paint of the body and frame and addidng different tires. I will be able to get some pics up later tonight or tomorrow.

Beautiful job. I love the detail and the exhaust tips. BTW, do I spy a Vietnam ribbon on the front?

This looks sweet. I just wish that now someone would do a GMC Brigadier. -
A little self promoting

Hey Tim, nice video. I've seen pics of your collection but this really shows how big it is. I noticed that you mentioned you have Italeri (I never can spell it) kits. You wouldn't happen to have a Freightliner Conventional would you? I am looking for one. Keep on rollin Tim. Thanks Benjamin. -
I hate to possibly flair tempers, but I feel that this needs to be said. The original (1971) VP Challenger was a 440 4spd. car, not a Hemi. However, the TV remake VP Challenger was a Hemi 4spd car. Just so ya know.

Ford C-800 Plow Truck
BigBlockLyle replied to RyanSilva's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Ryan, this truck is looking great. Are you going to have some rear facing spotlights for spreading at night? -
Hey Harry, got any new ones?

You could take tape and layer it and cut out your own belt the thickness and width that you want. I've seen this done a few times.

My new 1958 Desoto Firemite body
BigBlockLyle replied to roadkillontheweb's topic in WIP: Model Cars
You wouldn't happen to have the body molds to the 58 Fury would you? I want to build one of these and put it in the back of my truck in case my truck ever breaks down. -
Hi guys, I heard an interesting story from my shop teacher. He has been around Sterling/Rock Falls, IL his entire life and he has met the famous "Farmer". He told our class that the very first Pontiac GTO went to "The Farmer". It started as a GTO with a tri power and an aluminum front clip, and came with hopped up heads and a hot cam in the trunk. And by what I've read on Beswick's site, this is true. My teacher then said that Beswick converted the car to an AWB with a 421SD in it and while it campaigned as a non-AWB and as an AWB, it was named the "White Tornado". He also said that after Beswick had retired the car, a friend of Beswick's had asked what he was doing with it. He bought the car and reset the wheelbase back to stock and converted it into a dirt track racer and raced it at Speedbowl Park in Sterling/Rock Falls. I guess after he got done with the car, it was scrapped. Well, here's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to find enough pictures of the "White Tornado", as it campaigned in both classes, to build a replica of it. If any of you guys can help, it'd be great. I already tried Google image search and came up empty. I figured maybe someone here will have some pics of it or remember more about the car. THIA Thanks Benjamin.

Bruce, great work as always. I'm gonna watch this one closely. I can remember when I was about 5, there was an old farmer that had an older Ford dually much like the one you are building. I remember it because I saw it every spring and fall for about 3 years. It was a two tone dark and light tan and it even had a name that the farmer had as a vanity plate. It said SODBSTR 1. Seeing this brings back those memories.

Now that is one fast draggin waggin (CB slang). That thing looks great. I would love to build one of these kits, but all the ones I find are expensive. The wrecker body is a piece of art in and of itself. I'll be watching this one.

Boy this bring back memories for my dad. He used to have a '65 Impala but not a 396. It was almost the same color too. Beautiful build. Looking forward to seeing more. BTW, would you be willing to make a couple more bats? I wouldn't mind having one or two for a couple of builds I have.

The purr of a sbc
BigBlockLyle replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here's my little SBC purring. I made this video about a year ago and just now uploaded it. My truck dies because it's bad gas. Thanks Benjamin.
