Jairus, I love the looks of the Quater Horse. That body has always looked lean and mean to me. Got anything in the form of a Foxbody?
-
Jairus, got any 64 1/2 to 73 'Stangs? Thanks Benjamin.

Hey Marty, looking good. I had a similar idea a year or two ago except mine was a tandem axled flatbed. One thing I noticed while looking at the pics is that it just craves stacks and west coast mirrors. Thanks Benjamin.

'41 Willy's Hotrod- Project "Cherry Bomb"
BigBlockLyle replied to Nick Winter's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Nick, it looks sick so far. Keep up the good work. On a side note, what is the name of the episode of the Dukes of Hazzard where Boss Hogg tries to have the General crushed and it almost happens? It has been bugging me because I can remember the name. -
More Ford Sedans .... 72 Custom 4DR
BigBlockLyle replied to SteveG's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I may have to get one of these babys. Isn't there a green '72 in the Dukes of Hazard episode "Repo Men?" -
I think that "out there" is a bit of an understatement. I wonder what it would look like with a '69 tail on it?

Harry, I like the first one and the last one, but that second one, that's gonna take a while to grow on me. I also like 82-92 Camaros and Firebirds.

Got any Chargers or Challengers?
-
Jairius, got any 73-87 Chevy trucks in the archives or any 72-80 Dodge trucks there either?

OLDMAN ENGINEER PROJECT 57 CHEVY
BigBlockLyle replied to baddgass's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Well, this blows mine out of the water. You are an excellent scratch builder. I have seen many people attempt to build a car like this in the larger scales and they lose interest part way through because of all the work. I don't see you stopping any time soon. I would love have this car sitting on my shelf. -
Mopar Hilltop Garage...Completed 10/25/09

This is awesome. I have a project similar to this planned for after I graduate so I can spend more time on it. BTW, any more pics of the Dodge pick-up? -
New Resin Truck Stuff
BigBlockLyle replied to cargostar's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Hey Cargostar, the bumpers that you sent me look great. Wanna cast a money maker from me. I have the grille and hood from the MPC 1979 Dodge "Fire Fighter" 4x4 kit. I also have the 4x4 setup from it for the LRE. Thanks Benjamin. -
Hey Ariel, it looks like you've got some interesting products in the works. I have a bed and frame to a very desireable kit among truck modelers that I would like to see casted. They are from the MPC Dodge Longbed truck kits and it would be a longbox, fleetside conversion for the Little Red Express. The frame and bed that I have haven't been touched by paint yet, but the pic of one that I had that got lost in the mail almost a year ago. Let me know if you think it's worth while to cast. Thanks Benjamin.

Hey there guys, I'm in need of one-half of a sheet of HO scale diamond plate styrene. I am wanting to build a toolbox for the back of a pickup and it needs to be a smaller pattern. I have a few big rig parts that I can trade. The reason I'm asking here is because there isn't a place around here that I can get some at. Thanks Benjamin.

This looks like quite an interesting project. I like the idea and the concept of it too. I have a question though, and you may add it to the store. Is it going to have one of those little rooms with the ice maker for the ICE chest out front? Thanks Benjamin.

I'm a major fan of classic Mopars, and that Charger is onbe of the best I've seen. I'll be watching to see which one wins.

Hey Mj, this thing is looking sweet. I showed it to my dad and he said that it looks correct to the period. Can't wait to see more. BTW, can I get a set of those 8 lug wagon wheels from you? Thanks Benjamin.

Pickup Toppers/Caps
BigBlockLyle replied to Johnnycrash's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Hey John, boy I've been away a long time. I had to SEARCH for this thread. Any updates? And, I got me a new truck. Here's a pic of how she looks right now. -

I just like the concept of it. -

BigBlockLyle replied to Johnnycrash's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
It was just an idea. I have a drop center bumper that I made that I would love to have it casted along with a custom hood for the Revell 1970 Roadrunner/GTX kit. -
Pickup Toppers/Caps
BigBlockLyle replied to Johnnycrash's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Ok, run some numbers and tell me what you get. I was thinking of getting more than 2 because I love that topper. It's a shame that it got destroyed in my accident a month and a half ago. I just thought of another topper design that I saw a while back on google images. It's a 2 or 3 foot long topper that when you take the rear window out of the truck, it turns it into a sleeper. You can do this if you want to, I'm just throwing it in because I've never seen one done in scale. -
Pickup Toppers/Caps
BigBlockLyle replied to Johnnycrash's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
When I said a challenge, I meant a challenge for me. I'm going to attempt to convert a spare Ramcharger body that I have into the truck that the topper is on. BTW, what would be a rough estimate on the price for these? -
Pickup Toppers/Caps
BigBlockLyle replied to Johnnycrash's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
John, that will do. Not to nit-pick anything, but you forgot the sliding front and side windows. Now all I gotta do is build the truck for it. Did somebody say, "A CHALLENGE!"? -

Sounds good John. Ok, here's my pics. The topper is for a fullsize Dodge and I need it to fit the MPC Dodge Fleetside kits. Here we go. EDIT: John, here is a pic that shows the peak at the top front of the topper. It doesn't show up in the other 2 pics.
