Extraordinary! Most excellent! Love the taillights; you're right ~ few model builders have bothered with that little detail. Your treatment is very convincing. Also, I'm in awe of the BMF work on your interior!! Again, few modelers have tackled all the fine chrome strips and buttons! Thanks for sharing it with us!
  2. Excellent!
  3. Sweet! Love the color.
  4. Nice.
  5. ModelKing contracted with Moebius and commissioned the special version of the Hudson; he paid for the limited run and marketed it to distributors. The entire run has been purchased and is therefore sold out. Distributors may still have some of their inventory available, but the quantity manufactured was based on pre-orders from distributors. There are no plans to have more of these kits (the special NASCAR Flock versions) made.
  6. Just read elsewhere that ModelKing has indicated the entire run of Tim Flock '52 Hudson NASCAR kits has already sold out! WOW. The kits haven't even hit the shores yet and they're all accounted for! And as I recall, ModelKing said there was only going to be ONE run. It sounds like, if you haven't already reserved one with a seller, you'd better hurry and find a seller that has some not already committed. Otherwise, it may soon be too late for you to get one.
  7. The way our economy is going, building one of these bus kits is going to be the closest I'll ever get to visiting London.
  8. Tamiya synthetic lacquers? Love the stuff, myself. I'm getting rid of the enamels as fast as I can.
  9. Ooops. Guess I better edit my letter to Santa! LOL.
  10. Now that IS odd. You are right, the convertible was introducted 2011, so it should not be labelled as a 2010. The box art does show the overseas mirrors, but the test shot has the proper domestic mirrors. I thought Round2 had their stuff together and the old AMT/Ertl/RC2 era of obvious blunders was behind us.
  11. Ahh, contraire! Not mad at you, never mad at you, whether you see fit to join either of the local clubs, or not. You'd be welcome, but it's your choice entirely. BTW - The current state of the hobby locally that I referred to is the two remaining Hobby Bench stores, the last remaining Hobbytown USA store in Gilbert, the Hobby Depot in Tempe, and Andy's Hobby Headquarters in Glendale.
  12. I don't find Art's post boring or sleep-inducing at all. I find Art's historical information and the glimpses 'behind the curtains' that he often provides to be extremely interesting and valuable. Sorry you can't find value in his posts, but it certainly isn't appropriate for you to be facetious and insulting about your lack of interest.
  13. I live in Norte Mexico ... but that's not new.
  14. "All I want for Christmas is my 3-9-2."
  15. The product card in Sean's picture indicates 1st Quarter 2012 release.
  16. Actually, Jonathan, there are five LHS shops remaining; two of which are owned by the same company, the other three are individually owned and independent of one another. All but two live off the R/C business; the other two live off the military modelers. By the way, all of them charge full MSRP for everything. There are no discounts to be had other than the rare/occasional sale ... and the periodic Hobby Lobby/Michaels coupon sales. When I arrived in the Valley, there were 8 more LHS shops ~ in addition to 4 of the surviving 5. There has only been 1 shop join the field in the past 15 years ... Not really a big deal, but just thought I'd keep the "record" straight.
  17. Hey, if it looks right, it is close enough. Not so much diff between 1/24 and 1/25, although it can occasionally make things look "wrong."
  18. Okay, now that's pretty!!
