  1. Mike, Craft stores have bags of really tiny little beads for next to nothing. Almost scale-sized bean bag beans! Neat project!
  2. Another solution, Matt, is to use some silly putty to make a mold from one of the other lenses, then fill it with clear epoxy. Once it has set up (cured), you can tint it with clear yellow and clear orange paints until it matches the remaining kit pieces. Trim and sand it to fit to the bezel, and you've created a replacement lens in just a few hours time and a few easy steps.
  3. Yeah, baby! This is what I'm talking about! Bring it on!
  4. Oh, we'll pay for it in July & August when the overnight lows are 95*-100*! Or the daytime highs range from 110 to 113 for days on end. Usually, the natives take to sweaters and light jackets when the daytime highs drop below 70! Took me awhile to get used to that ... about a year ... when I caught myself putting on a sweater. Came from the Colorado Rockies where we saw a lot of snow, measured the above-average snowfalls in feet not inches, had occasional "snow days" where you didn't have to go to work or school because you couldn't get out, and where sweaters weren't uncommon 3/4 of the year. Took a little getting used to ... like I said, about one season! LOL. It's all about what we're accustomed to. In Colorado, snow was nothing. Roads were rarely closed despite feet of snow. Here, the central part of the state was closed yesterday (every major highway and all the freeways) because of 12-18" of snow.
  5. That's gonna be a baddy Caddy!
  6. No bovine scatology. Real snow. Right here in town. THAT's only happened twice in the 15 years I've lived here. Well, it's a big deal to us, anyway.
  7. Nice!
  8. OMG! That's beautiful, Dave. Killer! It's gonna look even better as soon as I get my hands on one, paint it red, and slap a fire engine pump, compartment body and hose load on it! Can you say "Lonestar Fire Department"?
  9. Pictures, pictures, pictures.
  10. Any chance you can show us a pic of it, Craig? TIA.
  11. Actually, that blue & white NYPD cruiser model depicts an '80-'89 Diplomat. The '77-'79 had a notably different frontal appearance. Regardless, I'm surprised SpaceCowboy was able to massage a Mustang to that close a replica of the '80+ Diplomat. It was a good effort! The recent diecast by MotorMax nailed the '80s Diplomat/Gran Fury/LeBaron! Too bad no one has done the early '70s Plymouth Fury/Dodge Polara police package sedans in plastic, resin or diecast. I'd love to have a 'Blues Brothers'sedan, a couple of 'Walking Tall'marked and unmarked Dodges, and some replicas of those legendary early '70s squad cars that were so prolific around the country!
  12. Nice!
  13. That's sweet! Nice job, Lee.
  14. Glad you enjoyed your visit to Phoenix, Mike! We certainly enjoyed meeting you and your gang!! Don't hesitate to come see us again. Maybe some day we can make a trip to your beautiful locale. Have a great and prosperus New Year! We'll try to see you at GSL! Best, Danno
  15. I can't wait to see this one on my bench! And I also can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next! But, I guess I have to, don't I? Remarkable job, Dave. Thanks SO MUCH!!!
  16. Jerry, Thanks for chiming in and adding so much first-hand information! This is a real treat! I may have to put one together, too, because you've certainly given the Challenger a personality and begun a legend all at once! Thanks for sharing with us! Bernie, rock on! Can't wait to see your build develop.
  17. I've gotta agree with Rob. Beautiful model, excellent build, but the wheels make it cartoonish ... and that's a shame because it otherwise is a very, very nice '34! But that's just my opinion ... and Rob's ...
  18. Stunning. Simply stunning. Great color for a custom Merc!
  19. Even though they think they won, I'm still buying a half-dozen or so. So there!
  20. It's gotta be the same out-sourced tech support you see on that TV commercial where the guy answers one of dozens of phones and says his name is "Peggy." He just says "no" a few times and puts the caller on hold.
  21. Thanks, Brian. I'm glad you checked the club out a year ago. We're glad you're a member and we appreciate your contributions. We missed you last month, but we'll see you in January. Don't forget to bring your Moonlight Buck$ and any donations ... it's our annual fund-raising auction meeting! Happius Newus Yearus!
  22. That just blows me away! I might trade in the water-changed-to-gasoline device from my DeLorean Time Traveller GT!
  23. Neat!
  24. Good looking mudder.
