Oh, we'll pay for it in July & August when the overnight lows are 95*-100*! Or the daytime highs range from 110 to 113 for days on end.
Usually, the natives take to sweaters and light jackets when the daytime highs drop below 70! Took me awhile to get used to that ... about a year ... when I caught myself putting on a sweater.
Came from the Colorado Rockies where we saw a lot of snow, measured the above-average snowfalls in feet not inches, had occasional "snow days" where you didn't have to go to work or school because you couldn't get out, and where sweaters weren't uncommon 3/4 of the year. Took a little getting used to ... like I said, about one season! LOL.
It's all about what we're accustomed to. In Colorado, snow was nothing. Roads were rarely closed despite feet of snow. Here, the central part of the state was closed yesterday (every major highway and all the freeways) because of 12-18" of snow.
