  1. Dechromed them, marked off with a pencil where to drill, used a .030 drill bit and drilled all the pilot holes, then drilled out all the holes with a 3/32 drill bit. Then painted the bumpers and grill High Gloss enamel black, and then finished them with Allkyde chrome paint. Hope this helps

  12. hey Mike, My jaw hit the floor when I saw that bike.....My hat is off to ya. I have seen many nice bikes built and yours is at the top of my list with the best of them. Your paint and decal work on this build is like the Monalisa of art work. Extremely well done. Bear
  13. thanks for the comments.....\ the color that I sprayed was Dupli-Color Electric Blue (in spray can from your local autoparts store, got mine at Candian Tires)
  14. ###### Abe, I like what you did to the car, the mods ar subtle and not overpowering, the engine bay is nicely done and the interior is richous. I love the color combo used in the interior. Keep up the great work....can wait to see more.....What color will be the exterior.
  15. thanks for the comment Randx0, very appreciated Hey George how goes it friend, Thanks for the great comments. Im actually 39 plus shipping and handling...... which puts me at 43. II, like you have been building since very young. My Dad got me started at the ripe old age of 4, the first kit he bought me was the an ol MPC Vette Gasser. As for the skills..... LOTS of trial and error....I think more error than anything else for the longest time But I do like the antique and classic cars much more than the new ones. To me real cars were made of metal, ( not tin cans ) and crumple zones didnt exist , and if you were jumping on the back seat and dad hit the brakes....it wasnt a padded dash you hit....it was metal....and anyone old enough to laugh at this has probably been down under the dash I have been teaching mechanics at a senior high school for the last 9 years. We still have to get your pics up so that we can see them or even send some pics by email to me. I am convinced that you build just as good as everyone on this forum. Bear
  16. I was wondering how it looked all done up ans WOW did you do it justice
  17. Thanks Mike......How you doin Bro?
  18. Heres a newer build of mine that was completed last year. I started with the Mr.Norms Dodge Dart kit and did what I had to do to make it look like the LO23 lightweight Dart thanks 4 lookin
  19. Thanks......If not I guess the only thing left to do is to shortin up a 4 door into a 2 door and go from there. Im not sure but Ill check....i think I had seen one a long time ago in resin....ill get back to you on that
  20. I dont remember that hot wheels but I got the idea from an old revell kit back from the 60's called the Little Stoggie if I remember correctly
  21. Pactra is for lexan bodies...but with a nice clear coat...the colors stand out nice. All my cars are sprayed with a laquer base scratch fill primer from Duplicolor. Then I use BaseCoat Automotive PPG paints with clears. Once you have the laquer primer....you can spray anything you want without harming the plastic. The black base is a basecoat.
  22. excellent crisp clean build.....the paint looks flawless from here.
  23. The first cross over....stock/ratrod......nice build
  24. Cool build......like the weathering effects
