WOW!....and it's only late-February! That makes it only...what....three months late or so? -
Hobby horror story

Maybe natural selection has a few more rounds to go.... Had it taken out both testicles, he could have been a candidate for a Darwin Award! Dave -
Looks like an old storage container for 3.5" "floppy discs", which were anything BUT floppy.

1940-41 willys sedan
Dave in Seattle replied to lilsceamer's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Resin ones show up on the bay every now and then. I forget who makes them, and although I have bid, they always seem to go for more scratch than I wanna spend. If it's a must have, I'd put a search on there and wait. Dave -
Car Trivia
Dave in Seattle replied to RodBurNeR's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Answer is Stutz Bearcat, which was prepped in only 5 weeks for the 1911 Indy race and finished 11th. Happy T-day Art! Dave -
I will definitely be there. Haven't missed on in years, and do not intend to start doing so now! Dave

Reflections from da boss
Dave in Seattle replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
WOW!!!! You actually saw a Vernon!!! Whatinhell is a Vernon???? I'm thinking you might have seen a Bugatti Veyron that your spellchecker decided it was smarter about..... Best Regards, Dave -
Nice work, but that one's gonna run really HOT, with that big load and solid hood sides. Moght want to consider adding some louvers. Dave

Me? doing a '32? Nahhh!!! It can't be!
Dave in Seattle replied to ismaelg's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Hey Izzy! I'm proud of ya man! Looks like you're having a great time with this build. Somebody asked before, but I did not see an answer: What is your plan for the steel "artillery spoke" wheels? I'm thinking that I might have some beating around in metal that I did for a project that never came alive. Drop me a message if you want me to mount a search..... Dave -
I'm old and confused.......
Dave in Seattle replied to Dave in Seattle's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks everybody. I think I have this figured out now. I use a number of different computers to look at this board, and I'm betting that I've got one or more of them set on "outline". This one is on "Standard", but you can bet I will check the ohters when I can! Many thanks for the input. Dave -
Howcum on some threads all the messages are laid out so you can just scroll down and read them, and on other threads, only the initial posting is there, and then you must go to the bottom of the page and click on another subject line to see that message? In the latter case, you can only see the first post, and the one you just clicked. To see more, you need to click on every subject line. Am I missing something fundamental? Can anyone esplain why this is?

Sweet build! I see a few custom touches too. Where did you get the REA decals/signs? Dave -
250 Testa Rosa Conversion To 1958 Lemans Winner

Jim! It's been almost a month since your last post. What's new on the conversion? Inquiring minds want to know..... Dave -
Thanks, Gregg!!
Dave in Seattle replied to Raul_Perez's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Me too, me too! thanks Greg for getting it "back up to speed". Dave -
I have a T-1 line at work, and hi-speed cable at home, so it is most certainly NOT the size of the incoming "pipe". It is also specific to this board alone. I participate in many other boards, although not a regular on that other mag board, and this is the only one that makes me nutz with it's slowness in loading speed. Dave

250 Testa Rosa Conversion To 1958 Lemans Winner
Dave in Seattle replied to JHDrew's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Well, thanks for the quality notes! Was not aware of that. Quality aside, I just noticed that theirs is a RHD version. Was the TR made in both? (You can probably tell I'm a little outside my comfort zone here!) Dave -

Great work Jim, but now I'm wondering how this one might fit on the chassis... http://www.resilientresins.com/BodyDetails.cfm?ID=14&I=1 -
Resin Flip Open Fuel Cap?
Dave in Seattle replied to Jairus's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Geez Jairus! Drop an email to Tony at MiniExotics@aol.com, and I'm sure he would be happy to send you a couple of samples. I recall there being two different sizes available, but that was a while ago....... Best, Dave -

Oops! HLJ is still accepting orders, so maybe my "sold out" report earlier was premature. Just ordered one for me..... -
