Oh calm down Andy, there's no need to be so dramatic. I'll just go back to lurking....sorry for being so truthful and honest boys!

It's got nothing to do with rivet counting or being a know-it-all Rob... Just trying to inform the town's people here who could use a little help.

Sorry boys, just calling it like I see it. I've seen numerous nascar threads on this board.... and just shake my head with the misinformation thats given out. People who have no business talking about nascar in general. I'm not just singling you two out...just saying it in general. I don't come on this board and post about rat rods and 69 mustangs... don't know much about either. Oh and peed in my Cheerio's? We're trying to keep this thread professional Andy; not turn it into some crazy german fetish....

You unimformed nascar experts are dangerious..... That photo from Milwaukee is only a few years old, and is CLEARLY A SHOW CAR. They never had Pontiac across the windshield either..... = showcar! Look at the walls....bright white, clean, modern Milwaukee font/logo too! If that photo was REALLY from 1986/87..... you think it would be that clear and colorful?? Not a nice digital photo.. Look at the driver....white full face helmet.....Richard always wore one painted in STP colors!! And those tire's are just new tires with repainted white letters!!!

Who wants to see some MASSCAR Pics?
Joe Oteri replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks for the pics Billy. It was a good show but the day went by too fast! This was one of my favorites. Joe -
These should help. They are nice, high quality decals. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze23f44/mikesdecals/id54.html

Hey Jamie! Be The First To Build This Chew Car!
Joe Oteri replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in WIP: NASCAR
I just finished my 86 Skoal car Billy, can I post that? -
Great build Jamie, especially the color green! I came up with the British Green suggestion over at the SnapFastAyersForum and got shot down like a hellicopter... Looks like I will be posting over here more too, going to get away from the other moron board. Joe

A modified reissue idea for AMT
Joe Oteri replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I know how you feel Terry, I still want AMT to update the 95 S10 to a 98-03. IMO, that was one of their best fitting models. -
Hey everyone, Here is my latest completion: Jr's Black Bud car. I started out with the 06 monte and turned it into a plate car. I used a piece of .020 Evergreen and wrapped it around the nose. I cut the kit valence off too. I painted it with Tamiya Black and the decals are Mike's Powerslide. This was an awesome sheet that was printed perfectly. The registration of the colors was perfect and the white was very white with not even a hint of bleed. PS: Don't know why the pics are so small, gotta love Fotki. I boxed in the exhaust to give the illusion of a SS exhaust. I added a taller spoiler with braces and spoiler bolts from stick pins. I also added rear camera. I made the half moon base out of .010 sheet cut with a hole punch. I took a piece of half round to make the lens. Bigger Pics Here: http://public.fotki.com/AAJOTERI/joes_mode.../nascar_models/ Thanks for looking and tell me what ya think. Joe

Hey guys, What is a good match for the 35th Aniversary Camaro? Tamiya Italian or Bright Red? Joe

Tinting Clear Plastic Question...
Joe Oteri replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Tamiya Smoke is very forgiving. 8) I believe the clear red, blue, orange should be the same. It goes on just like regular Tamiya clear, just colored. I have tried the Model Master Window Tint one time and it was like trying to spray a sharpie through an airbrish. -
Tinting Clear Plastic Question...
Joe Oteri replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Inside Billy. 8) I have used the Tamiya Smoke Spray and it is awesome. I used it on the rear windows of the Skylines and they turned out great. -
Thank you everyone, I really appreciate all of you wonderful compliments. 8) Bill & Tommy, the kit went together with out any hitches. The fit and finish is very nice. I would like to get another one and do the #4 car. Thanks again everyone. 8)

Finally, Fotki is back to normal so I can post this. Here is one of the new C6Rs'. I built it as a 3 car, based off of the car as it ran a Limerock. That was the closest and most accurate car you can build from theses decals. I still find it odd how there is no Klien Tools decal for the door, maybe there was a licensing problem? I will say that the decals placement guide from Revell is not worth a ######, spend a few minutes on Motorsport.com and you will get some awesome shots of this car. Paint is Tamiya Chrome Yellow. I have been spoiled with the Tamiya Skyline's lately that I got used to the tow hooks being in the kit......a couple holes with the pin vise and a small piece of wire did the trick. I had some leftover OZ decals from another build so the fit nicely on the wheels. The wheels and tires were Dullcoated together. Thanks for looking, Joe

As always Ole, a super clean build. Ole is one of the best bike builders around. 8)

Thanks for the compliments guys, I really appreciate them. 8) Theses are great kits and I would recomend them to anyone. They are a nice change of pace for me from the monotinus Nascars. Thanks again.

Here's one of the new Revell Choppers. A very nice, and fun kit to build. The fit and finish are very nice. Paint is Dupi Toreador Red. I modded the rear fender to give it more of a point, I thought it was way too long and covered too much of the tire. Thanks for loooking, Joe

That is very nice, much better looking than the box art build.
