Thanks, Mark, I am trying to get better on every one. This is the tape I use for the roll cage padding, and some of the window nets, if I'm making a black net. I think I got it at AutoZone, or one of the other auto parts store. I think its called wiring loom harness tape?

Thanks, Bruce, I will use the Hoosiers on any of the 1988 builds I do, because I love the story of the tire wars from that year ,and it adds variety to the display case.

I finished this car several weeks ago, but I forgot to add a window net, so I had to make one for it. buildup is in the WIP section.

This is looking great, seeing all the pieces in detail like this makes me want to build one of these new style kits.

Just about done, but after I glued the body onto the chassis, I realized I forgot to make a window net for it. I'll make one before I add it to the "under glass" section.

I used .060 x .060" strips.

That's what I was thinking too, the quilted look is good, but I wonder if its going to be too large of a pattern? I'll have to see when I get the seat mounted in there and the dashboard on, if it looks alright.

Check out this aluminum foil I found. It was used to wrap a gyro I ordered for lunch the other day. I think this pattern will look good for the heat insulation at the drivers feet? I cut a piece and sprayed it with some flat clear.

I saw this trick many years ago, in one of the magazines. Scrape the inner lip of the wheel with the back of a blade, and color it red with a permanent marker. Got most of the decals on, but my lighting wasn't good, so I'll take them again when they are all on.

I found this piece of tubing and it works well for the fuel overflow spout.

I airbrushed some clear yellow on the oil pan to give it an anodized look, like a Milodon style oil pan. probably not correct for this shape of oil pan, but it was good practice, and I will use that technique on others in the future.

Real nice job on this! I got one of these bodies a while back, and I plan to do the same subject. What did you use for the glass?

I like these Buicks, too. I built the High Life Bobby Allison car a few years ago. I got the power slide decals, and painted the car with Tamiya Park Green. The gold section on the rear bumper is Tamiya gold, and its almost a perfect match with the decals. The gold stripes on the front were tricky, I had to cut them to angle them down, while still lining up the black trim, and I'm happy with how they turned out.

Started this one a few months ago, haven't taken hardly any photos so far. I am using a newer seat, so I cut out the headrest in the cage. I also added the front radiator support with some square tubing. Looks good, but I have to relocate the top oil line on the oil cooler for it to fit.
