Hey Guy's I just pulled the tape off the cab and hood, I'm really happy with color combo. I'm very pleased with the few mods I've made to it. Shaved the door handles, blended the headlight buckets, removed the "things” from the top of the headlights, filled the bumper mount holes, removed the hood side panels and filled the hinge line down the middle of the hood. The body and bed need another coat of flat black then I can put it all together. Hope I can get wrapped up by Friday. Casey

Whatever you know you do it all the time I have had no problems with it. I picked it up from a guy on hyperscale who paints WWII german mottled camo that way. Casey

i do use it on my windshield, but you guys do see how it could help with the old airbrush.....

When painting with acrylics (mostly tamiya) I take a q-tip and coat the inside of my airbrush and the needle with rain-x. It seems to help keep paint flowing more smoothly and keeps the paint from drying on the tip. I’m not sure this actually works, it very well could be all in my head but if the $3 I spent on rain-x helps to keep me from going insane I’d say it’s well worth it Casey

Thanks for the welcome guys! The truck is boyd's lime green pearl, but only the top of the cab, the hood and few other bits the rest will be flat black and trimed in copper. Glad to see Royal has customers all over the country, he sure helped me out a lot when I was getting back in to modeling Casey

I just wanted pop in and make myself known.( and yes Jairus I took time to read the rules ) I normally build planes but I’m kinda burned out on that right now so I’m building some cars. I had been lurking on “the other forum” but... Anyways are there any modelers from the Tulsa, Ok area on here? I’m working on a ’41 Chevy pickup (teaser pics included) in the pipeline I have an ubiquitous merc , ’55 chevy Pro Sports man and I’ve got my eye on a ’50 ford pickup at Top Shelf Models in Owasso ( it has an ardun flathead how could I go wrong?)
