  1. Thanks everyone! Sonny that's the way I like it. I find it is actually harder to build it "Showroom Stock" than trick one out! I found the video at the end of my post to be truly enlightening as to how the car operated as a whole and revealed a lot of details!!
  2. Thanks Guys...... The body was done by Bob Shelton. I picked it up at the NNL East show in 2012. He has since revised the tooling to include the door handles and includes the windshield wipers. I picked up one of his first production runs and had to add the handles from my spares and scratch-build the wipers. I spent months massaging and redoing areas like door lines and the entire cowl. He does eight different versions. he can be reached at: thedirectory@cinci.rr.com
  3. Thanks everyone!
  4. This is my 2 year labor of love. It is a resin conversion by Bob Shelton, of the venerable Monogram Cord 812 Phaeton Sedan into an 812 Supercharged Westchester sedan. It is painted with Tamiya Maroon under 5 coats of Testors Ultra gloss lacquer that has been sanded, buffed and waxed. virtually every part has been massaged or rebuilt to improve detail and finish. The engine and transmission is fully plumbed to include the vacuum shifting system. More in-progress pics may be viewed here: http://public.fotki.com/ScottABregi/my_modeling_projects/37-cord-812-sueperc/ For your video pleasure here is a link to this same car that is owned by Jay Leno! http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/cars/cord/1937-cord-812-westchester/index.shtml#item=115864
  5. Hi Everyone I am putting out the word that the 2008 IPMS National Convention in Virginia Beach needs the help of our fellow car modelers and retailers. As of today we have ZERO automotive trophy packages sponsored. If you are a car club or just an individual you can sponsor a trophy pack for the paltry sum of Award Sponsorship: Basic Trophy packs - $75 Best of/Special Awards - $90 Hope you can help out!
  6. It's at the hotel that has the NNL east special rate as listed on the show site, a few miles ain't no biggie!
  7. Hi Gregg I'll be there Scott A. Bregi
  8. Just got my reservations at the Holiday Inn, Parsippiny for the NNL East..... Hope to see some of y'all there. I'll be bringing the Turbine car and the Ferrari's amongst many!
  9. Well I finally Re-finished my latest project. It is the Fujimi kit finished in Tamiya Italian Red. She sports a set of Model factory hiro Boranni wire wheel sets with kit tires. Chrome scripts by Crazy Modeler, cloisonné' Ferrari badges by E-jan and AcuStion photo-etch details. I scratchbuilt most of the underhood structural details to include the electrical center replete with fuse panels, oil tank and fully functioning hood struts. I added all oil, a/c lines, coils and plug wires, Throttle linkages and return spring, brake lines, steering gear box and shaft and a washer bag. She was finished for the Tidewater Automotive Society show last Oct. but I didn't have enough time to do any of the underhood work even though she took Best in Show. I then stripped down the chassis and added all the aforementioned work. She then went on to garner Best Auto and Best in show at the 2008 Old Dominion Open show hosted by IPMS Richmond. I am planning on displaying this and some more of my work at the upcoming NNL East show next month in Wayne, N.J. Click here for more pics of this and other modeling projects... Enjoy!
  10. I recently bought an '08 Sportster and will be getting this kit to do a conversion to my bike. I only have to change the tank, wheels, seat and exhaust. The hardest will be acquiring the correct wheels. I am looking for any constructive comments and criticisms! Thanks. Scott
  11. Thanks They have no info on hotels or the like on the website so that is why I posed the question to forum members.
  12. Anyone recommend hotels and other in area tidbits for attending the NNL East in NJ next year. TIA Scott
  13. DUDE! Those are some BODACIOUS pics! Of all the pics I have these two are just about all I needed! THANKS!
  14. I assume it is the oil fill but I do not know as to what it is connected to or what it does. The orange arrow is pointing to what I am referring too. Does anyone know how it is hooked up. Is it connected to a tank under the battery? What and where do the lines hook up to. Thanks
  15. I have been looking for quite some time to no avail. Does anyone have one for sale or trade? Thanks
  16. Mike The foam around the air cleaner is a black rubber band cut to length and super glued in place. The clamps are Detail master brake and fuel line hold down clamps.
  17. Thanks for the help everyone I settled on Testors MM FS 20400 (which has a nice semi gloss sheen) for the leather surfaces and Testors Acryl Deck tan for the carpeting. I appreciate all the help and sorry about the disapearing picture!
  18. Here's my Tamiya Enzo Click here for more pics! Enjoy!
  19. I would like to do up my 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spyder in this interior color combination. I would like some recommendations on what color to use. TIA Scott
  20. Here is my latest WIP She is the Fujimi Enthusiast series kit with two sets of Model Factory Hiro Boranni wire wheel kits. I airbrushed it with Tamiya Italian red that was decanted into a jar for airbrushing. I have not polished out the paint as of yet. Enjoy! Visit My Website for more pics!
  21. Hey everyone I just wanted to post this shameless plug for our show we will be hosting. Please stop by often for upto the minute updates and register early if you can. Hope to see y'all there!
  22. Need pics specifically of the left side of the engine without the air cleaner installed showing fuel rail and throttle linkages. TIA Scott
  23. I have reposted these pics of my Enzo because the pics no longer were showing up! It's the Tamiya kit with a bit of massaging as noted below. The only extras added to the kit were eight sheets of Scale Motorsports Specialties (SMS) carbon fiber decals covering the entire chassis, inside and out! This included the five sheet pre-templated decal set and three extra sheets to cover items not included in the SMS set. I also added Replicas and Miniatures resin valve stems, Lion-Roar photo-etch set for all grill work, Grant line Nuts and bolts for chassis details, and scratchbuilt rear frame support struts, and all AN fittings on all braided hose lines with a few wires added to the engine. It is finished in Tamiya Chrome yellow, over coated in Testor's Gloss lacquer from their new auto painting system.
  24. Hey everyone Here is one of my later builds. it is the Revell kit finished in MCW Verdero Green Metallic lacquer.
