  1. I learned to drive a manual in my Dad's '72 F-100 3-on-the-tree. He put me on a hill an told me we weren't going home until I could get off the hill without stalling or rolling backwards. I drove manuals through the 80's, then sporadically since then. A couple of summers ago I visited my Uncle who has a '70 Olds Cutlass Supreme and he asked me if I wanted to take it for a spin. Well of course I said yes and got behind the wheel after 20 or so years without driving a manual. My first couple of shifts were a little rough, but it came back pretty easily. My '15 Camaro is an automatic w/manual paddle shift capabilities. Haven't quite got the knack of that yet.
  2. I'll answer this one since no one has guessed it. It's "For the Love of Money" by the O'jays. https://youtu.be/GXE_n2q08Yw
  3. Way off. Think Green! And one jammin' bass line.
  4. Try this one: People can't even walk the street Because they never know Who in the world they're gonna beat For that lean, mean, mean...
  5. Real close. The song is called "After the Goldrush".
  6. On the nose! Echoes is one of my favorite Pink Floyd tunes from a pretty obscure album - Meddle. "Obscure" at least as far as the main stream music media is concerned.
  7. Saw the movie "Lion" yesterday. An incredibly uplifting story and well made movie. I highly recommend it.
  8. Another one: "Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air And deep beneath the rolling waves in labyrinths of coral caves The echo of a distant tide Comes willowing across the sand And everything is green and submarine"
  9. Thanks. Your latest is the late great Chuck Berry's Maybelline. Rest in Peace Chuck.
  10. Yes. Definitely in the ball park.
  11. Sublime - Same in the End Here's one: "Well I dreamed I saw the silver Space ships flying in the yellow haze of the sun"
  12. Went to a Dr. Appt. today my Friday off, only to find out it is actually scheduled for next Friday. I don't have next Friday off, so I had to reschedule for a week after next.
  13. I put in enough to put him over $16,500. I'm new here, but I have a very good friend battling liver and bile duct cancer. He goes through severe bouts of depression. I also come from a family that is rife with Cancer. In fact, I'm the only one of the four of my immediate family that hasn't been hit yet. Get well Harry!
  14. Welcome Jeff, I've been here a week and it's a great place.
  15. Thanks John. I appreciate the warm welcome.
  16. Thanks Joe. Glad to be here.
  17. Thanks Rich. I must say that my other talents are much better than my modeling ones, but I keep trying.
  18. Just joined. I tend to be in and out of forums, as I have other hobbies that take my time & money. What might they be you ask? I've been playing the drums for longer than I've been building models...I think it's now 44 years of my 53 on this earth. I'm a Ludwig and Zildjian guy I've been a certified Scuba diver since 2005. I have my Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Nitrox and Wreck certifications. I'm also a photographer, both over and under the water. I've sold some pieces in the past and had a couple of gallery shows when I lived in Washington State. Other than that, I'm just a plain ol' Engineer, former wooden boat builder and IT specialist.
