  1. this is a blast , this sure beats the heck out of my sewing club !!! and if the girls could see me now they would call the guys in the white coats !!!!!! Here is an Idea, Anne Just Invite the the ladies over for Models and Margaritas.
  2. "WHAT" have I gotten myself into here!!!! I would say a whole lot of Fun
  3. Get a hold of a few street rod magazines you can get a pretty good idea of how its done through that
  4. Sometimes the Enamel base needed causes a heavy buildup of paint before it becomes Shiney. It can become hard to gauge, which could cause a washout of the detail. Then leading you into more fustration. Because as everyone who has used Alclad chrome knows, fustration is just the beginning of this product.
  5. The one I have holds a #11 blade exclusively, However that one looks like it would do the job just fine.
  6. The AMT 62 impala is a nice kit. The Revell 62 impala is a nice kit, from what I have heard 'I dont own one or have built one, I dont like either 63 impala's from AMT or Revell, AMT Prestige series is just old & worn out mold, from what I Have seen kind of toylike. The Revell is based on a diecast, the Engine is garbage. However it can be improved with the Revell 64 impala, if you want a SBC engine, and chassis. The AMT 64 impala is not too bad, it seems to have been around for ever the last one I built was in the late 70's early 80's and its still readily available. Again the Revell 64 appears to have more in the way of detail and could be a little harder to find. My disclaimer here, these old eyes have seen all of these kits and this is my best recollection IMHO.
  7. The people who work with trains could help you out. there are lighting kits available for that type of thing.search out those supplier's
  8. I have the folding tool from the smallshop.it came with another tool to form metal PE into circular shapes.a good pair of scissors, &some pliers with a smooth wide jaw opening.
  9. Fiskers makes a handle like that you can find in the stationary section at Walmart
  10. I am not in the Moonlight Modelers Club, because I am good looking!
  11. I looked for the thread, all I found was a 55 Chevy, could not tell enough from that. However it is true that doing something like PE can make you better at it, and you should'nt be afraid to try. Anne could start off with a photoetched fan blade or a distributor kit. Anne could you post a picture of some of the Tools you have for doing photoetched.
  12. The drill bits look good. I have the same Pin vise and I dont think it comes with the small enough holder for the bits. The Zona brand #37-120 could work better for you.
  13. Dont forget the cleaning supplies for the airbrush. I have not used a Talon before, but it should be fine. If you search on the MCM site. I believe there was a member who did reviews on most of the Airbrushes available.
  14. Is the TV show still available to be seen? I have never seen it and it sounds interesting.
  15. Photoetch can be a large step for someone starting out.as a beginner you may want to focus on detail painting first.
  16. Yes I have said that many times!
  17. Another Wicked Ride John, I am starting to like the Girls you go out with.
  18. That issue has some excellent tires
  19. Now the Cops will be more welcome at the Disco's
  20. I did know that. I will check them out, Thanks.
