  1. I have loved building models of Mustangs. Not because I believe it's the best, but a yellow 1968 Mustang GT with a beefed up 390 4 speed. Quite a bit of power for a 16-17 year old "WILD CHILD" kid. Fords were what I learned to drive in and work on and got to know allot about the Mustangs and owned several over the years. I racked up allot of drag racing and reckless operation tickets pretty quickly. I did allot of racing at National Trails Raceway in Columbus Ohio with all my Mustangs. I took a break in the late 80s and raised a family and bought an 82 Fox body Mustang. I pumped a good chunk of change in the drive train and entered in the NMRA. (National Mustang Racers Association). I did pretty well there until I was diagnosed with cancer in late 2006. The Mustang, truck, and trailer had to go to pay co-pays for surgeries, treatments, meds, and exams. Here's some builds of my Mustangs I built and raced in the NHRA circuits... I sure wish I still had one of these Mustangs I thrashed, trashed and/or crashed...
  2. Back in the day, around 1971 to 1975, my father worked delivering whisky to the state stores of Ohio. Somewhere along the line a group of dad's friends and fellow workers got involved in fake hi-jackings (I believe). The next thing I knew as a 17-18 year old kid we were having cook outs and Billy Stepp and a few of his friends would show up from time to time. Eat a good steak dinner and load several cases of whisky in a pickup and be on their way. I owned a 71 Dodge Demon 340 that quickly got a name on the streets, and with local law enforcement. My dad pressured me into delivering these cases of stolen whisky to various locations. I always believed that was Bill Stepp's idea because he raced a 72 pro-stock Demon, and I remembered him and my dad discussing how big the trunk space was in the Demons. Bill was a nice man and always treated me with respect and a good tipper too. I seen and sat in his Demon many times and he gave allot of tips how to make those 340s scream. Here's the one I built of my ride. This is "AWESOME" you are constructing a model of his pro~stock ride. It was a gorgeous and one "FAST" Demon. I can't wait to see the finished model!!!
  3. One beautiful build. The good ole' 40 has always been a fav of mine. Cool to have such a fine replica of your dad's car... Really a pro looking build!!!
  4. Fantastic build here, and a very, very cool idea!!! Excellent my friend!!!
  5. Awesome, awesome build... Loved that car... I used to go to the tracks with Gordon Collett back in the day to watch this car and many other big names slug it out... Gordon drove the Collector Cuda... Gordon Colletts 70 Plymouth Cuda.bmp
  6. Just love the Motown Missile cars... Awesome job my friend!!! Those Challengers were made for the strip.. A 1:1 underconstruction!!! Remember the Motown Missile Cuda? Someone said they found it sitting behind a barn covered up years ago. I forget where I read this article, but if it's true, it's very sad!!!
  7. Number 3 of the $9.99 clearance Stangs... I really loved and enjoyed these kits... I think I enjoyed the price the best...LOL
  8. Another build I am adding to my "Amazing Build" file is the outstanding, fantastic, beautiful 57 Ford Custom I seen here by a member here (Starliner Customs) I am impressed by many builds and talents displayed, but these that cause me to drool all over my keyboard I wanna remember...LOL
  9. I am very honored to now be apart of this site. I have seen some outstanding displays of talent and craftsmanship here in just a short time. I am also a member of several FB groups who share some amazing work and ideas. I sure hope I can contribute 1/10th of what I have seen so far. You guys are FANTASTIC!!! Here are a few other builds and displays I have been very impressed with from other sites and groups. I take no credit for any of these builds and do not know the builders, but just wish to share here...Enjoy!!! 1957 Ford.bmp 1986 Mustang GT.bmp
  10. Another one of these $9.99 clearance Stang kits I built here. I used a Revell 427 engine kit for this one. It had a nice dual 4 set up and I used my resin cast air filters. This kit comes with two different style hoods and I fabricated a cowl hood from the extra. Not really sure if I like it on the 68 Stang cause it really didn't really go with that rea, but what the heck it still looks pretty good I think!!!
  11. Absolutely gorgeous... Perfect job... Always have and always will love the Willys!!!
  12. Super Super Sweet!!!
  13. Man~O~Man... Thank you all for the positive comments... Always a great help on those dark and scary days. I just returned from a treatment and in about 6 to 10 hours my insides will be on fire. Linda like drinking a gallon of gas and swallowing a lit match, then peeing razor blades for the next 3-4 days. Kinda gives ya the feeling of being cooked in a micro~wave from the inside out. It is horrible and very painful, but I am winning the battle once again... A heartfelt and sincere "Thank you, Thank you" all once again!!!
  14. LOL... Still giving me fits and anxiety attacks Floyd...
  15. I kinda flipped over this kit when I found it. It was almost an exact replica of my very first car, a 1968 Mustang 2 + 2 GT... I found this kit at a Meijer store on clearance for $9.99 and bought all 3 they had left. Great deal... I am pretty proud of this one and sure wish I still had some of those Mustangs I owned since 1970, that I thrashed, trashed, and crashed...LOL
  16. Just pure awesome... Loving every bit of it... Love them builds of the old Fords you have there!! Great job!!!
  17. I'll be dang... You are sooo right here... I did over look those part numbers and did exactly what you said... LOL... Can't believe how they stand out now that they have been pointed out to my blind a$$...LOL Thank you!!!
  18. All I can say is "WOW"... Fantastic talent and building going on there... That 1:1 is a "KICK~ASS" Stang to the max!!!
  19. Thank you as well, but this build of yours is just "OFF the HOOK" beautiful... The good ole 57 Ford Fairlane has been my all~time favorite car since I seen the movie "Thunder Road" back in the early 60s. Amazing oid flick. I have been back to this post many times to admire your creation here. It's so very cool how it can look like grandma's Sunday church car, but then again like the meanest, evil machine on the highway. Everything about it says something to ya... Your talent and skill sure shines here.. Thank you for sharing this amazing machine!!!
  20. The ole' Ford is tuned up and camper loaded , ready to hit the road for a long awaited vacation...We're debating on taking the Stang incase a little late night action pops up in a new town we will be passing through...But then we gotta drag the whole red~neck crew with all the needed tools and extra racing stuff!!!
  21. Making these old school slap action traction bars from strip styrene modelers plastic is really easy... Add allot of detail to the build!!!
  22. Just have to keep coming back to this one... Very impressed with this build... Ya got everything right here. Love the Cragars on the front and chromies on the rear... I remember them running the street and strip that way well. Paint is beautiful and color combo is great!!! One "SWEET" ride!!!
  23. That is extremely cool... Nice job!!!
  24. I have two of these 1929 Ford Coupe diecast kits I purchased and built many years ago. Very cool and nicely detail molded kits. I added much of the fine detail, but now am thinking of modifying them further. I have this Boss 429 I'm thinking of stuffing in the red one... Do ya think it'll fit???
