  1. Hi all you vinyl fans, my neighbor's mother passed away a few years ago. She loved all types of music. My neighbor is going thru the house and found 4 boxes of albums. She said there is a lot more there and will be bringing them home as time permits. Her mom enjoyed all kinds of music,Bluegrass,Rock and Roll,Christian, Folk,Southern Rock,Gospel,Show tunes,etc...

You get the idea. I know a very little about values of old albums. I did have my favorites when I was young. I am 64 now,so,anything in the late 50's to mid 70's I love.

Is there anything or anyone I should be on the lookout for??? I have first crack at them.

    As far as I know,they are 33's, maybe some 45's and 78's.

She said they were all played and had Elvis,etc...

    Thanks,George

  2. Hi everyone,I got some new Purple Power at Advance and put some straight in a plastic container.

I put in some parts to strip,a Vette body, interior, hood. They were all primed with Tamiya fine and shot with Tamiya red and Testors Beige.

After leaving it overnight, the interior is coming off but the red is stuck fast and not coming off at all.

    Any ideas??

  3. Hi all, I am so upset at the Post office!!! I went to mail a matted painting. The package was about 28" X28" X2".

At first he said it would be $15,which was OK.When he put in the dimensions he said it caused it to go Priority and there was a

Balloon surcharge. I had no choice for ground and no surcharge. He said it would not let him send it Ground.

    What a RIPOFF!!!!!

  4. Amy... I'd like to add my deepest condolences. Your Dad was a vital part of what brought us all together here, and many would say the lynch-pin of what KEPT us all together. I never met him, but we exchanged a bunch of messages about a wooden tram he'd built that happened to have once upon a time run by where I lived 30 years ago in the UK (the real tram ran more like 80 years ago), and that was the measure of the man for me. He always cared, always was interested, and shared so much with us. He will always be missed.

Given the quality of what he shared in his books, I wouldn't restrict yourself to MODEL car museums. Get in touch with the Henry Ford Museum, the Automotive Hall of Fame or the Gilmore, and see if they'd be interested in taking on Harry's legacy. He was creating a history of the automobile that just happened to be rendered in beautifully-built models, and one of them should surely give that collection a proud home.

Once again, I'm so sorry for your loss, which we all share to a lesser extent.

    With best regards,

    Matt

Amy, I think Matt conveys my thoughts also. Harry will be missed by a great many people. From modelers here in the US,to many abroad.

  5. I am indeed very sorry to hear this.I only knew Harry through the forum, but I felt that he was a great friend. He will be missed by a lot of people that he knew and a lot he didn't know but that were touched by him.

Now,he is without the pain and troubles with other burdens.

I hope he has enough models, now he has enough time to do them.

I hope we can celebrate his life and all the great things he did for so many of us,not to mention his unbelievable builds of the models he was so passionate about!!

  6. Hi all, I am looking for sites or ideas for my wife to maybe sell her pictures. She is very passionate about nature and her flowers.

There are many great photographers here and thought this would be a good place to ask.

We use a Coolpix S6100 with 16 Megapixels. She has had many people say her pics are beautiful.

Any help and links would be greatly appreciated.
