  10. The safest bet is to use Dupli-Color's Clear, it's good stuff, and you won't have to worry about any reactions between the color and clear. If you're using Dupli-Color paints, you need to use a Primer/Sealer before laying down the colors, they're hotter than normal paints and will burn the styrene body!

  20. This is what I use for scribing panel lines, deepening panel lines, and removing panels, which I don't do often, but I've tried it, and it works great! Trumpeter's awesome Panel Scriber, the tip is solid as a rock, thin, and just about as sharp as an X-Acto blade. And the best part is, it won't bend like the Micro-Mark scriber I used to use! And here's a couple of pics showing lines that were cut with it. First up is Revell's '65 Chevy pickup, the center panel between the fenders was one solid piece, I added the lines to separate it from the fenders. And the fender was cut loose from the rocker panel in this shot, one of my big pet peeves on models!
  21. This set is found in Revell's '65 Chevy pickup, a great looking set of big & littles! Good looking tread, and the set even comes with a set of disc brakes all the way around! And the kit they come in...these tires and rims are about the best things in the box sadly! The engine is great, but the cab is usually warped, and the bed has bulges all over the place, don't even get me started on the 4-piece hood!
  22. I've got one, but I can't use it without feeling queasy...thank God I can see up-close fine without it!
  23. Jethro Tull - Bungle In The Jungle
  24. Tom, I've usually found it at a Automotive Paint Supplier (You know, the guys who carry stuff for the local Body Shops), but Steven says he found it on Amazon, so I'd check there if you don't have any Paint Supply houses locally. It's great stuff, the can is huge and should do at least 4-6 models depending on how many coats you lay down, but it stinks worse than any paint I've ever used, so USE A MASK!!!!!
  25. I use an old computer armoire my wife and I found at a consignment shop for $100. I can close it up when I'm done working and everything is safe from the kids and cats until I'm ready to build again! I added a light fixture in the center area, and a small fluorescent light was added over the photobooth area on the left side Some cup hooks were added to the doors for extra space to hang tools, and my small parts bin was also hung on the door... A bit of wall trim was added, along with 3 pieces of foam board to make a removable photo booth... Lots of storage space underneath the work surface for the photobooth, and assorted bins full of nail polish and parts, a Dremel, and the magnifying glasses if I ever need 'em! The keyboard tray serves as a second work surface... Some green foam from Wally World's craft department works for paint brushes and assorted tools... My dremel is hung from the top, with the flex-shaft attached. I don't have to fight with it anymore, it's right there when I need it! The paint rack was made from a couple of pieces of scrap wood and more wall trim scraps. It's a great fit for me, the cost was low, and it can be closed up to hide my mess, These pics were the last time it was this neat, its a train wreck in there right now! Every cubbyhole in it is jammed full of stuff, and parts and tools are laying all over the work surfaces! I also added a bunch more cup hooks to the right side door, and have all kinds of things hanging there!
